BBC sport as usual, main page is the reaction, then there is a "desperately unlucky" article, then there is a goalkeeping issue article, then 2 videos for the game, then there is a Rooney they should buy Donnarumma and finally the headline for the Gossip column is Man Utd weigh up Wharton move....

The Beeb is in full swing.

The Wharton talk is like they can go out and buy him for 50m when it be nearer to Baleba amount plus there are far better clubs who will want him who will pay the money next season

Fucking hell, just read the Danny Murphy puff-piece. Can you imagine any other team getting a write up like that after losing?

You will see the real united when they play a average team. Their players think they are God's gift and only have to turn up, then they get shocked when a good organised Fulham/palace etc team turn up and spank them. The arms start getting thrown around, faces like spoilt kids, rat face running round after the ref, slab head looking gormless as the ball gets pinged round them. When they play the big teams they sometimes give them a game and that's what happened yesterday.
Anything above 15th place this season the media will see it as positive and will state the project is working and will be title challengers with 3 years, keeps their deluded fuckwits engaged.

Arsenal won and they don’t win there often that’s how well United played despite the hype. Arsenal counter attack was garbage and that made it more difficult than it should have been. Rags applied decent pressure in the second half, Sesko barely got a kick from all that pressure when he came on, so the pressure was not that telling. A swathing mass of bellends in the Stretford End get excited seeing a few lumped balls into the box helped script a narrative of the plucky reds are on the way back but can’t find a 6ft 5 centre forward???
Let them get giddy, they will finish top half only because they are have to rest up all week while 9 other English teams play in Europe because they are actually good at football.

Fuck them!

Sounds like they needed Weghorst …..

The press are acting like they didnt lose, its incredible theres been everything from unlucky, marked improvement, not far away all while conveniently ignoring the elephant in the room that they just spent 200m, they absolutely should be improving, mbuemo looked okay yesterday because arsenal neglected to bother with a left back so he had all the space in the world, that wont happen most games.

According to Goldbridge all they need is Baleba - every midtable team could do with a 100 million pound player. Just silly

In all seriousness, if City want Donnarumma then we need to buy him this week. We can’t just tell him to hang on whilst we wait for Galatasaray

Between now and the end of the window there is very likely to be more high profile errors from both United and Chelsea’s keepers which may force them into action and if we are still haggling with Galatasaray then we could miss out

Exactly, when we were winning titles we were being told we needed a champions league to justify the money we’ve spent. These cunts just need to improve on 15th & currently they aren’t doing that.

Its embarrassing and you can see the narrative that is being spun already, how can you spend 200m which is far away more than anyone around that 15th mark and play off only losing by a single goal as a good thing

There’s a hell of a lot of straw clutching going on around these twats, just because they on lost 1-0 to a well below-par cheating Arsenal side that also included a few new signings.

All those straw clutchers are desperately hoping that this is the beginning of the long way back to their "rightful place" at the top of the table.

The title promised in 2028 by City reject, Omar, looks more of a pipe dream than ever.

The standard on show yesterday from both sides was awful, it was crash bang wallop stuff going at 100 mph. The rags do what they do in big games in trying to bring the other team down to their level. They have Lukaku mark 2 in Mbeuno, their long ball punt to him each game will get sussed by teams less adventurous than Arsenal. If that’s the standard of football they want they should have never got rid of Mourinho.
That was also my impression

There was a 20 minute spell in the second half when Arsenal just couldn't keep the ball and an equaliser looked inevitable.
However United seemed all pace and no composure, particularly when Amad came on and went all Dokuish. Everything was 100mph chaos and no end product

The biggest problem for United though is their goalkeeper's lack of physical presence in the one position where you can get away with a bit of nastiness, especially when defending set pieces.
Schmeichel would have taken the player with the ball and nobody would have said a thing.

Expecting Cunha, Mbuemo, Yoro and Fernandes to appear in any BBC team of the week. That was as bad as an arsenal performance in a long time and they still beat them ffs.

We none of us are surprised at how the media are portraying their latest defeat. It was always going to be that way, the same as it has been for the past 40 years...NO NEGATIVE PRESS FOR THE RAGS!
Fine, if gutless hacks like Slimy Stone and a few others wish to outdo Goebells in the bullshit department, I say let them continue. If the tabloids in this country are happy to emulate Kim jong Un's 'Guide To Propaganda' then again, I'm okay with that. But the only people who read their partisan garbage and believe it to be Gospel are those with limited intelligence, gullible: believing what they want to believe - basically 65% of all rag fans.
But we are not all simple minded lemmings with the IQ of a half-consumed baguette, some of us know a badly performing football team when we see it, and furthermore we are not afraid to say so, either.
Neither the rags nor the gooners covered themselves in glory yesterday, in fact they were both awful. Two teams that wouldn't have looked out of place in the Championship despite the grotesque amount of money thrown at them - in particular Slimy's favourites, the rags. The dreadful long-ball tactics the two sides dished up for their respective fans yesterday was a slap in the face of the people who parted with their money to watch a Premier league game of football - and got nothing like it.
If the rag masses see nothing wrong with paying an obscene amount of money to watch their team play Sunday morning football, that's up to them. But for biased hacks like Slimy to try and paint a totally different picture for the rest of us - don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining.
