Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

I genuinely can’t believe that after what’s been happening the last two weeks that it’s over and he will just want to or be welcomed back to the club with open arms?

We’ve either pulled the plug because we don’t think we can get Rodrygo or more likely Spurs wouldn’t pay what we want. Either way there won’t be an issue, Bernardo wanted out for years. Ederson wanted out last summer. Once he comes back training with the group he will get same chance as everyone else to make the shirt his own.

Why has no journo stood up Balague’s initial claim? They usually all flock after someone breaks initial news. Look at when we stepped away from Wirtz.

Balague is a clown though so I’m not placing much value in what he says anyway

An absolutely "massive drop off" is being our 4th top G+A player in his first season in a new league at the age of 21. Our top assister, 98% percentile for dribbling, passing and assisting.

I do not remember one bad word about his attitude until the bid went in, if you can find one I'm happy to be proved wrong.

70m is a good price I dont disagree. I think he could be a 100m player, but he could alwo top out at 50m. I'd suggest that the fact we've resisted two lower bids is solid evidence that the club don't consider him a) rubbish or b) poison in the dressing room.
His attitude problems are reported by many different sources and hinted by Silva. Also how many of those 'G+A' are goals, 1?
He's never gonna be a 100mil player, his value is only going to drop. He's not our level.

You don't have to believe this because it's fake news. People are giving way too much credit to one random source who's been dead wrong many times.

I didn't know we played in La Liga!
You can't accept the fact he had an absolutely massive drop-off, that Girona was a one-season wonder over a year ago and Savinho himself is being egotistic and arrogant in the dressing room. He can't cut it in the PL, 70mil is an incredible deal for him.
Also, so many of you are gullible, it's been 2 hours and the only mention of this is Brazilian guy's Instagram story ROFL
Not saying you're wrong (I don't have access to the dressing room, so I honestly don't know), but where are you getting this from? Also, if you plan on sticking around, it'd be a good idea not to call other posters gullible.

I think that's a bit dramatic mate, Im sure if Kane, Suarez, Gerrard etc can manage it a decent young Brazilian winger who's not exactly a club legend will survive.

Ok, show me Silva definitely saying it about him or a different source then?

I don’t think his potential is in doubt, what I think is in doubt is his mental toughness and I have seen so many potentially good players fail because of it.

That's a legitimate concern. Let's hope, if he stays, Pep will help him to mature and toughen up.

Panicking over an unreliable source and taking it seriously is exactly that. I could also use the word 'naive' if you prefer that instead.

Check out Silva's comments about the dressing room from this Summer. He is absolutely referring to Savinho.

They were world class players putting in world class performances 2 things Savhino will never ever be or do

What has he done in the last two weeks that would make him not welcomed back to the club? Posted a picture of him being in the gym while being injured? As far as we know, have there been any reliable reports of him telling the club he wants to leave?

There's absolutely no way anyone can know that. If there's clear proof I'm all up for hearing it.

I doubt Pep gave 3000 minutes to one of the biggest problems.

Also feel like the fact Romano isn’t reporting it’s done is a good thing. He’s shut news down recently but was about a different player altogether.

Feel like if Balague came out and said something like Savio to go and Simons on then we’d hear the shut down.

Right now it’s either true and the journalist who has been spot on and the first to break stuff for us has missed it completely and not reacted all day. (Seems unlikely right?)
Or it’s not true and Romano doesn’t feel the need to justify it.
