While true, and I actually think Leeds must be one of the worst for number of supporters who have attended games over the decades in the country in ratio to the size of their city and lack of other teams in it… if all the Manchester conurbation clubs played at home on the same weekend, there could be 190,000 fans going to football games whereas in Leeds it’s 38,000…

but that’s got nowt to do with their atmosphere over the last five years or so which has been class.
 
Either Leeds are up for it and have a lot of energy or Everton just really are that complacent and crap.

He hasn't played any games during preseason tbf.
Well maybe got some time against Preston we don't know but he hasn't had much of a preseason

Like I said, I hate them, I think of them as a fairly local derby rival like I do Liverpool and Everton, and they sandwich in between those two for how much I dislike them.

As you referenced; my Father had to limp to hospital in Leeds after getting battered there at one of those late 70s FA Cup games.

But they do have the best atmosphere in the country this decade.

Last weekend they had 50,000 at Dublin for a friendly so they hey have got sone fan base
 
I can’t be bothered googling it but I remember them getting absolutely shocking crowds, 14,000 springs to mind. Proper fickle. That’s in a one-club City and not having a hugely-successful rival hoovering up all the kids.

Hope they go straight back down.

He’s in his element in games like this. He always excelled in Brum derbies and put in some of his best performances for us when Wolves fans gave him shit and in Etihad games against United and Liverpool.

All anyone used to say to me when I was at uni or on holiday and met people from all over, when we were shit, is how great our fans were.

It’s all a bit nice at City these days, I preferred our support when it was full of ‘lads’, a bit of an edgy feel at games and everyone minded to look over their shoulder when they came to Manchester haha. All these cunts getting tickets from ticket tout sites sitting in the Etihad wanting the opposition to win wouldn’t have lasted five minutes with our fanbase and wouldn’t at Leeds now.

Leeds seem to have really kept that and they’ve not drifted away from our support like ours seems to have.
