So ball to arm then. Tarky can’t help that the human body has developed in such a way that is where the arm is. What was he meant to do, just stand upright?

Not being argumentative here, just curious - is he expected to not try and get in the way? If he’s supposed to try, where’s he meant to put his arm?

A player has every right to attempt to block the shot, just not with the arm. It's a cornerstone rule of football.

Or not leaning in then it wouldn't have hit his arm, the rule is about not giving a penalty for a ball belted at someone's arm from close range, the ball.wasnt going to hit his arm until.he moved towards it. In affect he saved it with his arm by using.his body.

Tarkowski knew what he was doing. It was a penalty.

He 100% leaned into it but with his arm fully tucked in, you cant give a pen for it as he literally has nowhere to put his arm.

He cant put it above his head and lean into it with his body because the refs have said outstretched arms are penalties.

Defenders cant win under these rules.
