Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Wouldn't be bothered if Sav stayed as I rate him, as others have said he just needs to find his goal scoring form. His ability is there, and he will be inconsistent being only 21

Problem is if he wants out, we don't need an unhappy player hanging around

If he does go, Rodrygo would be an excellent replacement

Does he have the stomach to fight for his place, Bobb and Doku Will get the nod for starting positions and Marmoush and even Cherki can play out wide.

He should go now, can’t think why we would want him to stay if he was open to a move. It’s not gonna get better for him or us and if he stays the same to g will happen next summer

Romano said that someone in City management is blocking the deal

My money is on Soriano, due to Savio being CFG signing

You aren’t on your own with that belief. My money is that Pep wants to keep him even though City are willing to listen to offers and Sav will stay.

This is where I am with it. I don't think the player has actively looked to leave, or had concerns over playinf time etc.

But spurs shown an interest late in the window, the club listened, and he likely found it tempting himself.

The club are open, he is open to it, but it has to be right financially to be worth it. Otherwise, they want to keep him, and he is likely ok with that as well, and they are comfortable he will do his part if he stays.

No idea who, may be more than one. Just think a few at the club think he has a lot of potential. No idea if he'll live up to that potential but we could all give a whole list of players that didn't really show their level until about 23 /24.
Certainly after 1 year in a new country in a struggling team I wouldn't be making my mind up.

There is the potential, plus the then the financial and logistical issue it creates to sell the player now.

While the club won't stand on his or any player's way, the deal simply has to be worth it. They must feel comfortable enoug with hos attitude and readiness to stay if Spurs don't put their money where their mouth is.

Which I said on day one of this rumour, I would be surprised if they did.

Although he is young with potential it is hard to argue that anything above £60m is not a great deal for us. From what he has displayed he has shown far less than Palmer and if he repeats his last season, he will be going for far less than £60m. Tough decision overall for the club to make.

Those quoting stats for last year need to remember he is 21 and the whole team stunk last year...

The chances were there though, almost every shot he had was soft, wide or blocked. He just doesn’t really have that instinctive finishing quality that can’t be taught.

Getting £70m for a non-scoring, rarely assisting winger would be great business even if we didn’t buy a replacement. Bobb, Cherki, Marmoush are all better and more effective. I’d rather see O’Reilly get more games than Savinho.

All sorts of conjecture based on rumour of who said what to whom.
I said last week that we won't buy a goalkeeper who can't use his feet proficiently.
And I said that we would be unlikely to sell the player who had the most assists last year and replace him with a very expensive toy who frankly considering he plays for Madrid has shit return.
This is not based on ITKs, fevered journalists, what we might like and how much we want to stuff Levy.
It's just logic. Re the assists. 8 was the same as Palmer, Eze, Bowen, Odegaard, Gibbs-White and Watkins!
Not quite sure what you all expect from a 21 year old playing his first season in the PL.

It's not tough at all: if Levy doesn't offer what we want, Savinho stays. And we want at least 60m.

If Savinho could have 20 goal involvements at Girona aged 19, then the presumption he will never be able to have 30 goal involvements at City is based on little more than overgeneralising from one season in a culturally very different country and a struggling team.

I doubt Levy will pay what it takes to sign all of Kudos, Eze and Savinho in one window.
