Media discussion - 2025/26

Monday Night Club first half hour was just a utd wankathon.

Since when is a defeat hailed as a success and progress?

No mention of spunking over 200m and still looking shite.

The theme for the show was first impressions of new signings. Some geezer called Steve Cross Crossman is hosting instead of chappers and he reeled off names of debut players in the premier league this weekend.

One name he didn’t mention was.....?

Edit - Going to talk about him in next part.

My bad.
The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.

This topic is almost exclusively about unequal treatment of Manchester City. We, for example, are convinced that journalists such as Jamie Jackson are Man Utd stooges; it was then with great surprise that I saw Jamie Jackson drive Amorim mad during the Arsenal post-match press conference:

Article on the BBC Website about Villa and the barcodes united in their frustration with psr. Fans combining apparently to protest about it. Not a word about the clubs supporting it when they thought it would handicap us. Let them suffer with rules of their own making. Love it.
But, but, Masters and his American masters said it was just supposed to stop City…

Sent this email off to the bbc re: MNC (mufc supporters club)

Listening to this Manchester United fan discussion. How can you justify talking about Manchester United for 50% of the programme. It's ridiculous, boring and unjustifiable. There are 21 other clubs. This constant promotion of a single football club is Vomit inducing. Nobody wants to hear this endless adoration of a club who are badly run and finished 15th last year. Maybe you should spend 50% of next week's programme talking about Wolves, after all they only finished one place below your beloved United last season! Of course you won't. won't be listening to this programme again. The bbc is generally really good but your sports coverage is too driven by likes and clicks. Manchester United blah blah blah!!! BORING and PATHETIC!!!

In terms of its purpose the BBC is no different any other state media around the world - Designed to brainwash the herd. If you control the majority of minds you alienate the critical thinkers and avoid revolution. The main difference is how it is funded - we sadly have to pay for the herd to be brainwashed.

Put a nice reply on and amazing not been pulled.
The blinkered views of the cartel are fantastic and the fact they cannot see how PSR is now rolling themselves over is priceless

Has anyone else noticed the growing trend amongst pundits who are bemoaning the PSR rules.

I've heard Neville, O' Hara and other saying PSR is preventing clubs from competing and how it's affecting young players' pathways through their parent club.

Looks to me like a case of "The chickens have come home to roost"

It just goes to show that these financial restrictions were put in place as a safety net to prevent clubs going broke is a myth.

The biggest mistake the suits in the Premier League corridors and the red top executives have ever made was trying to stop MCFC from progressing.

It’s replaced the “you’ve agreed to the rules so you should adhere to them.”

And how little interest free loans which were proved to be illegal are brought up and the clubs who benefited from them mentioned.
Biggest travesty is how Utd lost 3 times the PSR limit and avoided sanctions. Not a single peep out of other clubs or the media over it

That's a very good point.

It's criminal the silence from the media and clubs like Everton and Nottingham Forest should be kicking up a fuss.

The Guardian gets it right...

In the States the clubs use the threat of a move to another state, the Government better give them the money no way do we want them moving to Manchester, Dungeness on the other hand!
