It just shows; no matter how good you are some people will forget you five minutes after you have gone.
That substitute that Everton brought on looked vaguely familiar too. Back to the topic of this thread, it's bluddy Spurs and their famous Yidd army, so we know the outcome. City will have 80% possession, 24 shots vs 2 and the score will be 0-2.

The Leeds sub who scored the pen rang a bell.

I voted for a win in the poll. But I really dont know what to make of this game, half of me says we will batter them, the other half says Frank will set them up for a draw and make it a horrible game.
They'll do what they did against PSG for the big teams. They'll play counter attack fot 80 odd mins, thank goodness they don't have Son.

I’d say just use the same squad that worked against wolves and then bring on legs in the 2nd half. No need to switch up. Just worried about Nouri against Kudus. He had problems against wolves already and doesn’t seem like the best defender which was obvious anyways since all he played was wingback.

I still can still taste the disappointmet of that night and Aguero’s disallowed goal
Don't because I can too....

The missed Sergio pen at The Cheesegtater set the tone for the tie.

Every way its been possible to shaft a team in the CL, well we've got the full bingo card - away goals, VAR, offsides, unpunished foul on Laporte leading to Lyon scoring, Leroy legitimate second disallowed at the Etihad even though it had come off Milners arm. The whole lot makes me feel sick and that's not even including Peps absolute howler team selection in the 2021 final when it was there for the taking.

God it really is the stuff of YCNMIU horrors of epic proportions.

Aaaaaggh!!!

And I feckin hate Spurs, they are a nobody team and we should beat them, but for some reason, like the Dippers they have a bit of a voodoo over us.

This week I shall channel thoughts of 7th December 1968 ballet on ice v this shower rather than the May 1981 FA Cup farces....

Our record against Thomas Frank is:
P8 W5 D1 L2 F12 A7

Of the 5 wins: 3 have been by 1 goal, 2 have been by 2 goals.

We’ve never battered his sides, they always give us a game.

Can see them going for five at the back like they did against Paris with loads of long balls (Brentford were always either 1st or 2nd in the league for long balls under Frank) and overloading the box on set pieces.

Spurs are a massive side at the back. Could do with our two best aerial centre backs in Stones and Gvardiol being fit and available.

I’ll tell you now these will be a very good side under Frank and we’ll need to be at it to get 3 points on Saturday.

This game will tell you lot if you were right to have your cocks out after the Wolves game.

I think most people will just take the Wolves result for what it was .... three great away points against a side that, based on that showing, could struggle this season ... i doubt anyone's really going overboard at this early stage of the season, and being fooled into thinkiing it's gonna be like that every week.

Tottenham have started well themselves, and will present a sterner challenge to us .... and Richarlison is always capable of scoring goals, as is Solanke if fit.

We just need to remain grounded, and face them head on, in EVERY challenge .... we can win this game, and we WILL, providing our approach, organisation and commitment is evident throughout the 90 minutes!

I think Frank is a very good manager who will work on specific routines that help Spurs become more effective in the final third. He'll look at where our weaknesses are and look to exploit them. I wouldn't have Rico in the side as I can see some aerial bombardment coming his way otherwise - would imagine he'll look for them to get a lot of crosses into the box.

Overall, it's not the strongest side we've faced. Son and Kane were usually always good for a goal or three against us. Their midfield three against Burnley has energy but nowhere near the same quality we have and similarly our bench is so much better. Hopefully they don't bring in Eze before the deadline!

City 3-1 Spurs.

If we've got 15pts on the board when it comes to playing Burnley at home I'll have my cock out. But until then it's game by game. Spurs, Brighton away, Rags, Arsenal away - tough start to the season but a good way to measure whether we're in the running this season, especially if Rodders is back after the international break and in time for the rags.

why______________ not starting ffs ?
Just fill in the blank

I guess the line up depends on whether Rodri or Gvardiol are fit. Unfortunately I’m assuming we’ll still be without Rodders, so this is the team I’d like to see.

………………..Trafford
Nunes….Stones……Gvardiol….Ait-Nouri
……………..Gonzalez
Bobb……Reijnders….Cherki…Marmoush
……………..Haaland

First home game of the season, and we owe these bastards, get all our best attackers in and fucking smash these with pace and power!
Last para very Gladiator :-) with you Blue ! do not like these fuckers.
