The ability to turn on the waterworks is a major asset at Liverpool.

Liverpool did it with Countinho and Suarez.Im not sure how Newcastle win in this situation.
IF they keep him (which of course they are entitled to do) they will end up with a very unhappy player (ok so who cares about him) but also with a very unhappy squad - other players wont like what is going on either way - some might be thinking -what if an offer comes in for me - will the club sell me (someone like Livramento for instance). Others will rightfully feel betrayed by him (they are trying to build something big and he wants to leave them).
The biggest issue will be the fans however - I just don't see that the Geordie fans will every accept him back. Football fans are fickle (and Tevez did something similar to us - though that wasn't about wanting to leave but he did basically refuse to play at one point) but this has been extremely public and is slightly different...Isak is saying I dont want to play for you anymore...Tevez's fall out was personal between him and Mancini.
Would we accept someone back who did the exact same thing? I dont think we would regardless of who it was.
And if the fans wont accept him back then I dont think the club have a choice but to sell him - they surely wouldnt leave a player in the reserves/on the bench for 3 years,..and his value will only depreciate with time.
edit: Id love Newcastle to win out however I just dont see it happening. ..be very funny if they did.
I think the two play each other very soon as well...that wil be extremely toxic
Newcastle's haven't got a centre forward at the club, Gordon had to play there against Villa. So unless Newcastle suddenly sign 2, Isak will be going nowhere, and seeing as they haven't even been able to replace Wilson yet, not sure that's particularly likely. Can't see anyway back for Isak now after that statement, unfortunately I think the Dippers will come back in with an offer of £130m and Newcastle will reluctantly accept it. Monday nights game should be fun, hopefully the players will be chomping at the bit to get one over the Dippers.
I hope they stand firm, but even if they kept Isak they will have a player who doesn't want to be there and who could cause unrest in the camp. I suspect they will get Wissa in and maybe go for Jackson.Newcastle's haven't got a centre forward at the club, Gordon had to play there against Villa. Alvarez would be the best choice if he was willing to go there.I hope they stand firm, but even if they kept Isak they will have a player who doesn't want to be there and who could cause unrest in the camp. I suspect they will get Wissa in and maybe go for Jackson.

I think someone has put this in every single player transfer thread on here.Anyone else get the feeling he ends up at Chelsea? Liverpool will walk away and Boehly will be happy to pay the 140+.
Should I be concerned that I got in at 800 likes?I think he’s recently upped the likes number to 55k mate so you’ll have a while to wait. Those of us already “in” are still in. In fact, we can’t get out, even if we want to.
Not sure if many footballers are the brightest ?Alexander Isak is one stupid stupid man! All the money in the world really can't buy a single piece of brain cell..
I really wish one club who could afford it would just say fuck you we are not selling end off, let him sit it out for 12 months.
This Isak thing has properly broken them.
Were you the one he had on a leash wearing a Utd kit?Should I be concerned that I got in at 800 likes?
I mean if everyone knows that they are getting 60M what does it changeJust assume they're brainless and then you can understand them.
Pretty obvious that Palace want to get a replacement sorted before a club sees them get £60m for Eze etc...
