Manuel Akanji | Rumours of an Inter loan deal

Perhaps wrong wording, admittedly. Even so, pathetic is a bit strong and unnecessary.

More I don’t want him chosen above Khusanov and I felt the substitution at the weekend was a signal of intent from Pep to Akanji. But I don’t trust that if he’s here for the season that Khusanov would be the preferred option.

Time will tell.

Sorry, didn’t mean to offend you

To be fair, he only said the clubs had agreed the deal - not that Akanji had agreed to going.

I bet the fee is sorted, just now persuading needed on the player side.
Yeah people are missing this point he said clubs have agreed but not with the player

It has got a point where we gave players lengthy contracts and are just comfortable with staying and not wanting to leave the same with Gundo. Those subs at wolves made me think the club are pushing out the likes of Akanji and Gundo and am happy with that because who will leave if those don't want to leave.

I hope pep starts or uses Khusanov more often when a player refuses to accept the clubs terms

Whatever is best for the club. I think if Akanji stays, he will play some games at RB and may also help Stones staying fit. Because who is going to start at Liverpool or Camp Nou: neither Lewis, nor Nunes, Khusa has too little experience there as well.

If Pep and the club want Akanji to free a space, I'm game.

Fair enough. I just think it’s time for a change and this is the perfect time to do it while we can get a healthy fee for a rotation player.

Plus, Khusanov was fantastic away at Madrid when he played right back.

If Akanji isnt in Pep's plans, then you would expect Khusanov to get more minutes anyway. Doesn't mean Akanji should accept any transfer put in front of him though.

No smoke without fire though
In essence, smoke is a conglomeration of airborne specks formed as a result of incomplete combustion. It can often result from the heating of one or more components that don’t teach the required temperature to set alight.
Thus, you can have smoke without fire…

It's what clubs do if they want a player moved on. If the player won't seek a move, the club has every right to seek a move for them. The problem arises if the player says they're happy to remain & fight for their places. Fuck all the club can do about it!

If nothing else, this has added some comedic entertainment to the window. Lol
Maybe, but then I would question how a random Twitter guy seems to know as well

Galatasaray has pulled out of the transfer of Manuel Akanji.
Until last night, the transfer was still on the table and had reached a certain point. However, due to President Dursun Özbek's desire to be financially cautious, the deal has been called off. The player will now transfer to the Bundesliga. (Ali Naci Küçük)

Correct. Actions speak louder than words. It is no surprise that the likes of Akanji or Gundogan are not willing to leave since last match aside, they have been some of the most consistently used players in our squad. Therefore, they have no reason to question their future. They should both remain unused subsed at the weekend to send a clear message.
