Wow the Hundred is boring,,,,,zzzzzz

Absolute bobbins spectacle...

Low scoring crap pitches...

What a total bore

The low scoring pitches are great fun to watch. It'd be worse if the wickets were all roads and they were scoring 180 easily every game. There's loads of T20 competitions if you want that sort of batsmen oriented cricket.

A lot of the games being comfortably won though is an issue. It's plagued the competition for a few years now annoyingly.

Maybe my beloved 'crap' pitches are to blame or maybe it's the weird 5 ball not overs that are messing with the players not knowing what to do at what time etc?

Absolutely correct. After the fantastic test series this summer I was well up for more cricket but the hundred is terrible.

It’s so naff and fake I really can’t understand how it draws the crowds. I have absolutely no interest in watching it. It’s ruining a wonderful sport IMO.
Same, it's like a mid summer break in the main cricket, I'd like the one day cup if Lancs could bat through an innings. 2 centuries in an innings should be winning it, but only 3 others in double figures, Shetty tried to keep the momentum going, but the rest were dreadful. I didn't watch the Durham innings as I knew the result before they started batting.

Could see we were 20/30 runs short……

Yes, hopeless end to the innings again.
To score two centuries and still lose, that must be quite rare I’d have thought. Once they both achieved that, for them and the subsequent batsmen it turned into a free for all. You’d think after having our fingers burned in recent matches where high scores turned out to be not quite high enough, that the mindset would have been to push on even more to try and score 350.

Arav Shetty is a really good player.
Plays for Alderley Edge (where Bell played until this season).

I've been frustrated with the results BUT this competition is great for blooding youngsters.
Lancs have given chances to Charlie Barnard (got a 4fer last week against Sussex), Luke Hands and Joe Moores (he's only 16 I think).

Oh I agree, and it's why I watch it rather than the other contrived franchise rubbish, but they also need to be a bit more focussed at the end of an innings, experienced or otherwise. Bailey (hardly noted for his batting) for instance, with Shetty looking great at one end, tries to smash a six, rather than run a single, daft, and we end of 30 runs short, and not using the full 50 overs.

Crikey, Oval Invincibles needed 102 off 40 balls and won with 11 balls remaining.

They are miles better than anyone else currently. Built on the foundations of the best county side in the country they have that quality core of players that makes the difference.

Really hoping Northamptonshire do Surrey over in the Blast in just under a fortnight now.

Good to see Sanderson make his debut tonight as well. Looks like the pick of the pace bowlers looking at the scorecard and it'll be good practice for him for that contest in a few weeks time. I'd like to think Willey had that exact thought in mind.

Hard work being a Lancashire season ticket holder…the last few seasons have been hard, good to see the youngster getting game time, hopefully next season we’ll see an improvement.
Before the 50 over comp last year Chilton said it was a low priority and only for developing players, and we have lost almost every game since.

Even Rocky Flintoff isn't playing in the ODC this year, not played a list A or FC this season, and never played a senior T20. Paid £31k to miss all the ODC to join his dad and not play a game. Almost makes Anderson's frnachise career of £31k for 35 balls look inexpensive, even though he took some tap and was retired in effect.

Er, why were Lancs scoring so slowly today? Lost by 10 overs. Walk in the park for Warwicks.

I did see it reported that he was injured and been replaced in the Hundred. Whether you believe that or not is another matter... Seemed a dodgy pick to me when as you say he's never played a T20 for Lancs.

Do we get the England players for the T20 QF or do we have to play Kent without Buttler, Salt and Wood?

I assume it's depending on player's fitness really. I'd like to think if they don't have a fixture clash then they would play.

I'm hoping that Willey, Zaib, Scrimshaw and Sanderson will be playing against Surrey for Northants similarly. Otherwise they basically have no pace bowling attack...

Why do Manchester Originals always pick shit players in the draft for the hundred. The worst squad by a mile. Hate the hundred but i can see why the Originals are piss poor just about every season

Does anyone actually care who wins though?

Half of Lancashire play against MO.

Can you imagine football creating something similar and we have a North West team where we’re meant to be cheering on Salah against Foden?
