The rodrygo case is a funny one. One thing is that the stats do matter when it comes to savinho but they don’t matter when it comes to other players. The fact that Rodrigo’s numbers drop each season is ignored while another argument is that savinho did it in a weaker league - but that doesn’t count when it comes to rodrygo who scored 2 against us ( until today the only reason why people think so highly of him) . When he doesn’t deliver it’s the others fault. Hmm…

The second problem is that this leads to Rodrygo and Rodrygo is Savinho 2 without the Superman upside.
If Sav goes I don’t see why we need a replacement. Bobb is already the replacement. He’s like having a new signing seen as he missed almost the whole of last season. Cherki, foden, Bobb, marmoush and doku are all capable enough of filling Sav’s hole (so to speak). The addition of Rodrygo just jams the squad up even more.
Bobb's not really the player at risk with the rumoured names. He would still be the only natural right winger.

He scores goals because he takes a disproportionate amount of shots and Bournemouth don't really use Evanilson as an attacking focal point.
If you think a bloke with a 72% pass completion rate will thrive in a Pep team fair enough.
Can see why you in particular think Rodrygo and Savinho are worse than Semenyo.

Perhaps you are right about Rodrygo but Real Madrid are a very dominant side in a relatively weak league and I am wary as Rodrygo does not grasp games there by the throat.Rodrygo is 24 so there's plenty of time for him to improve. He already has 2 CL's under his belt and has scored 25 goals in the competition in 60 odd games. We could sit and wait for Savinho to maybe become the player we need him to be, or we can cash in for big money and potentially bring in someone who has already delivered on the big occasion consistently.
It doesn't concern me what he's been like in La Liga. A big game for City in the PL or CL and he starts for us. Quick, direct, hard working. He'll thrive under our coaching staff.

Karma is a lovely thing. I wonder if City are taking a long time to answer Levy’s calls. He is one of the people who tried to destroy our club. It is great to see him squirming. for Levy specifically 75m+ 10m addons if they reach EL places/cup win, they have lots of money, also CL income this season, also money saved on MGW and Eze now.

Get the money for Savio and go get Semenyo. 11 goals playing on the wing last season. Came out of the gate flying v. Liverpoop this season. At 25 just entering his prime. Better than Rodrigo or Savinho...
I think you don't fully appreciate what it means to play for Pep or for City for that matter. Semenyo would be great at United or Spurs, but terrible at City because he isn't good enough on the ball or off the ball.

Suspect they think they'll get even more. Which is mad but hey, Spurs are desperate.

Bobb is much better than him. That is the reality.This is exactly my thoughts. Savinho was decent but not a revelation. If he stays he needs to kick on but I'm kit sure how many games he would get. I'd rather see Foden back in form. And we have plenty of other attacking players who need minutes.
