Well, I believe we were interested in Eze and Rodyrgo in the past year and most tactico pages would say Rogers is a clear step up on them. Also, he's English, and just turned 23 last month. Pep will love his profile. He's in the top 1% of ball-carriers, but also gets back and occupies defensive spaces so well. Also has a great final ball while being extremely physical. Plays AM but also LW. Similar player to Musiala. I give him a year and he'll be getting an 80-110m pound move easy. I also expect him to be an important player for England sooner rather than later.

Was great last year. 4G+2A in Champions league, and 8+10 in the PL. Super impressive for an AM who does it all. Especially for his age.

Rogers isn't a clear step up on Rodrygo, nor is he of comparable quality to Foden, Cherki or Reijnders.

He just isn't our level.

Zubamendi is another Rodri before Pep and Lilo moulded him into the Ballon d’or Rodri, a good player and he’ll be good for them . Can Arteta and his coaches turn him into that level that Rodri reached though ,I very much doubt it.
Also suspect Gyokeres isn’t going to be that great for them.

That's your opinion mate. I'd take him 100 times out of 100 over Rodrygo. And of course all those lads you listed are class too. But, Reijnders is an 8. Cherki and Foden work best off the right. Completely different areas of the pitch are occupied by Rogers. If Savio goes, we'll certainly be inquiring on his availability. Just wait and see...

His individual stats say something else. Give him a better club and he will excel. Rogers is one of those English players that can hit a certain level

We have Cherki, Foden Bobb all that can play in Rogers best position, plus Mukasa looking a prospect and Echeverri to bring back. Rogers is the last player we need. IF Savinho goes, IF we decide to replace him it will be a front 3 player.

Yep. If you watch Villa's matches you can see just how hard his job is. Powering them up the pitch and bouncing off tackles. He does a LOT of the dirty work for that club and is the main reason they finished where they did in the PL last season. And he was one of the best players in the entire CL too. Carried Villa. Much more important player than Watkins IMO.

Again, all these lads operate best off the right. And Rogers can be a front 3 player...

And I'm not even saying we need him right now. But he's a superstar in the making, he's English, and he could be available for similar to what we get for Savio. One of those transfers where you just get them in and worry about it later. We lost Grealish on the left and really only have Doku as an out and out LW, so could be seen as a replacement for him.

Rogers best position is as a 10 behind the striker, all those players I listed best position is as a 10 behind the striker, yes they can and at the moment Bobb does play on the right but his best position will be in the middle.

Again, all these players operate best off the right... lol. I'm not saying they arent best at 10!!!

As of the last 5 years, the best teams all have a player occupying the traditional 10 role on both the right AND the left. When I say the right, I don't mean the right wing. I mean the right half spaces.

Right so the only place for Rogers is wide left in the front 3. Highly unlikely we buy him to stick him out there. Guess we’ll see in the next week.

We were interested in Eze before signing Cherki and Marmoush.

No need for Morgan Rogers, he’s had one good season. Let’s see how he kicks on.

I think Rogers is a top class player. I wouldn't compare him to Rodrygo. I have always thought of Rodrygo as a wide forward whereas Rogers is a ball carrying midfielder. Rogers makes the kind of runs that Reijnders made in making that run for the 1st goal at Wolves.

Not really true is it? Cherki and Fodens best football has been as a 10.
