Callum Doyle joins Wrexham

H

He is probably a championship level player signed by a championship club
He’s better most CBs in that league, as he has demonstrated with several successful loans, and probably than many of the CBs playing in the bottom half of the PL, which is where he’ll eventually end up
Still, looks like we’ve protected ourselves with the clauses

I wondered if he could end up a replacement for Ake. He's a good footballer, and has played well at a few Championship sides on loan now. I was a bit surprised his last loan wasn't to the Prem tbh, it was a bit disappointing he didn't get that chance to step up. Decent enough move though and he can possibly be part of their story. Pretty sure he'll end up in the Prem in a couple of seasons one way or the other.

Probably just lacks that little bit of pace to be top class. But there’s definitely a PL player there, his forward passing is very good
And also a natural left footed CB, who normally attract a premium due to their rarity
Always thought he played like a slower Laporte, and as a lefty myself, always loved Aymeric

Yeah I agree, with or without Wrexham, I expect he lives locally to Manchester, so it's not a long commute.

I know someone who plays there, and from everything I hear they're a very well looked after squad, and it's a very close knit group.

Why is it ? Just because they're Hollywood stars why is it different, they've clearly pumped a lot of their money into the club, they also seem to have a good guy running things day to day in Williamson, who has had various roles across global football.
City have always historically been one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the country, notwithstanding a bad decade or two
Wrexham have spent about 5 seasons in their entire history in the second flight
That comparison is more than a bit disrespectful to City imo
And that’s before we even get into how their rise with white American money is portrayed as ‘a fairytale’, while them dastardly brown lads at Citeh are ‘ruining football’
But hey, not worth falling out over
Callum had interest from bigger clubs like Sheffield United Utd, Southampton etc

Add to that you never see our owner. He stays quiet, he gets the business done or has people to do it for him.

These two clowns are constantly in front of the camera screaming and shouting.

The comparison is silly

It wasn't a direct comparison anyway. We were already PL when we were taken over, they were conference, 3 promotions in a row, and still not PL.

As I said the guy running them day to day has global football experience, so a good football choice imho.

The only reason they're constantly in front of the camera's, is that our media is obsessed with "celebrity", so always looking for a story.

From what I understand they're keen to raise the profile of Wrexham the town, as well as the football club.

Anyway the subject is really Callum Doyle not the club, and I'm pleased for him, and I hope it goes how he wants it to go, like I said earlier, I know someone who plays there, and the players are very well looked after, and pretty close knit.
