I know what you mean, there is a very famous electoral store here called JB Hi-Fi they sell electrical goods, vinyl records and mobile phones as well as other things, I went in as I was serious about getting the latest Samsung fold mobile the guy came up after a while of ignoring me and ask me if needed help.
He decided to ignore my specific questions and treat me like a fucking idiot who had never owned a mobile phone before, I probably know as much as he does if not more about mobile phones, he even said these phones are $2000 are you aware of that?.... eventually I lost my patience with him as he was almost shouting at me as if I was deaf, I said, "Jesus mate I'm not deaf and I'm a qualified mechanical engineer so I'm not thick and I'm not senile,.........yet. I know I'm like your fucking grandad but how about treating this old fossil with some respect".

Mrs Walker looked quite shocked and embarrassed at this sudden outburst from me as I'm normally a placid kind of guy pretty laid back most of the time but this twat really wound me up.
He changed his tune and actually apologized, anyway the thing is lots of coffin dodgers go in there and ask a million questions and end up buying nothing or the cheapest phone in the shop, so the sales guys n gals try to avoid them lol.

You can't tar everyone with the same brush though, can you.

As a MAC not a FOC I need the sage advice of you grumpy duffers.

I called someone a cretin yesterday and got told it is inapropriate as it's an offensive albist word, is this correct, I just thought it meant you was a thick fucker.

2/3 agree with you, so therefore, you are correct, and the wet-wipe who attempted to shut you down, is a cretin.

While I recognise this, I have to say that I am treated with kindness and respect by the overwhelming majority of people. Due to spinal problems I have to rest for a few seconds every twenty yards or so, just leaning on my stick. I have lost count of how many people ask if I’m ok or if I need help.
