For most of yesterday I felt we had to sell Savinho for that money and Rodrygo, with his CL experience and excellent track record, would be a very good player for us with a lot of potential to still improve at 24.
Today I'm more of the opinion that we should keep Savinho. He's younger, we don't know what his ceiling might be and with our new coaches clearly looking to see more aggressive attacking play he's likely to thrive.
The question mark I have over Savinho is whether he will ever cope with the physicality of the PL. It was an issue I felt Jesus had, and why he was so much better when more protected in the CL. But those question marks exist with Rodrygo too.
Savinho's had his year adapting to the PL. I don't think we should call it quits on him. This season looks set up for him to shine. If he doesn't then whilst we might not get the same money, there will still be a deal we can do.
