Spurs (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

The usual overreaction and hyperbole on here…

Poor result, poor performance - sloppy and punished for our mistakes. Marmoush and Haaland both missed chances they should’ve scored and Haaland messed up a 3 yard pass for Cherki to have an open net. Going behind to these was always going to be a nightmare - Frank knows the blueprint for beating Pep and it suits Spurs well.

BUT, it’s one game, very early on in the season, neither Rodri or Foden are fit yet - that will change things and we looked a lot worse when Ait Nouri went off and he has a very good injury record so hopefully he won’t miss much more. Team is still getting used to each other and we probably have Donnaruma plus another to come in.

I hope this pushes the club to sign a full back though, the only good full-back in this squad is Ait-Nouri,just go out and pay for Livaramento who can cover Lb and start Rb.

Major concerns all over the pitch after that shite. Trafford absolutely garbage can't be our number 1, defence simply not strong enough against the better sides( yeah Spurs I know), full backs woeful. Midfield looked like they were running through treacle, and Haaland up front having one of his really shit days.
Pep shouldn't have changed it from Wolves, but he has to every week doesn't he?

Well it's the usual loss to Spuds though they were far better than usual this time, completely destroyed us physically and we were utter dross.

Spurs stuck to a well mapped out game plan. Thomas Frank has Pep's number. Worked harder, wanted it more. We were poor in every department today. The good news is it is early season. Clearly work to do.
Problem @Blue Tooth is it's the same work as 12 months ago.
We're in for a struggle this season if Pep again refuses to see that the game has moved tactically - anyone watching that today knows we're still screwed by high intensity mobile pressing

I don't know were to start, that was horrendous...

I don't want to read anymore about how Rico Lewis will prove people wrong and how James Trafford is better than Donnarumma...Seriously cop the fuck on.

Khusanov sat on his arse on the bench again whilst we've to watch that fucking fairy Ruben Dias play and wear the captains armband, fucking laughable.

Sorry but let's call a spade a spade, Pep's time is up at the club. Before all you happy clappers start with the whole Treble, Centurions, 4 peat stuff...I understand all that, I fucking love Pep but the way things are going fans are going to turn on him and you can see it coming, It's time to call it a day before this gets worse, I can't see how this gets better.

Too many missed opportunities in front of goal. Trafford and Lewis together in defence is a liability. No ball went long despite Spurs pressing.
Quite a few went long, but to the opposite side of the pitch where our big centre forward was every single time

No suprise we started to look like a team once Rodri and Foden came on.
Cherki and Bobb showed their inexperience, and Trafford a bag of nerves.
But Gonzales, I made a point of watching him specifacly, and he went hiding behind opponents. When Stones, Dias, Lewis etc were in possesion he was nowhere to be seen. Absolutely no like up whatsoever. Put Rodri in the same position and hes making space for the pass, demanding the ball, dictating play, I get that Rodri is the best in the world at this, but clearly its still a major problem for us.

Haha you fucking lemon, you think with ederson anything changes today? Fucking spanner
Oh here comes the forum gobshite. They don’t score the 2nd for starters and we don’t spend the 2 nd half smashing the ball back to Tottenham. How many usernames have you had on here eh Tom. Tool.

One team had a game plan the other didn't.
One team we'll organised one wasn't.
One team physical the other wasn't.
One team too many mistakes.

Spurs press and physicality was very good.
That said, who gets bullied by Spurs ffs, not good enough.
Big lesson on he Premier league for Cherki and Reijnders, lets hope they learn quickly.

When Rodders starts and Phil is back to himself , we will be back !
