What an utter disgrace that was. Had 2 out of 3 season tickets not work. Probably karma for earlier in the thread suggesting there wouldnt be a major issue.
Guy in the white vest said there was a known problem with the NFC on android wallet and if we didnt have an iPhone on hand to download the ticket, theres nothing else they can do and we'd have to go to the ticket office so we went there to join what must have been about 1000 people in a queue that spanned the entire colin bell stand for a printed out QR code. Was just gone 12 when I couldnt get in at first, i eventually got in about 30 seconds before they scored, missed practically half the match.
The guy in the vest claimed they knew about this problem since 10.30am so why the fuck was the only solution they could come up with in that time was to send everybody to the same 4/5 people in a porta cabin? Considering all i had to do was provide my account number and name linked to it to get a ticket printed, Why couldnt they have had people stationed around entrances to permit access upon supply of the same information?
I was so livid with that shitshow that the shitshow on the pitch when I eventually got in, didn't bother me nearly as much as it normally would.
As if that wasn't bad enough, it's almost certainly going to repeat itself next game and likely for the entire season. Second half of last season, My NFC stopped working for me out of the blue and I had to resort to bringing up the barcode and scanning that instead, i have zero issues using it for anything else even digital away tickets I don't have any frequent problems with so i knownfor a fact it isn't my phone. I cannot and should not be expected to have to get to a game over an hour before kick off every game in anticipation for my ticket not functioning and having to resort to a printed ticket every game.
Anyone know who the best person to complain to is? I surely should be eligible for some form of partial refund here given it was in no way my fault that i missed almost half of the game that i paid to watch. It is their responsibility to provide means to access what I've paid for.
