Cherki. That ball is never meant to go to nico g under that pressure but cherki didn’t move into the space behind him. Trafford panicked, but that’s why.
Cherki is in acres of space. How Trafford doesn’t see him is baffling. One of the worst decisions you’ll see.

Like a fucking non league keeper trying to play at being ederson.

If we play like today then they will turn us over. The worst thing today was that there was very little fight after the second goal went in, it was like harking back to last season.

Hopefully we put in a good performance at Brighton and go into the derby at home with renewed confidence.
The rags have better players and a lot of pace about them now, they also seem to be doing a lot more attacking than they have been doing in recent seasons, so this is likely to be a really difficult derby for us, and especially if we put in a poor performance like we did today ......

I wouldn’t go as far as non league but the drop off from having ederson in goal to Trafford is huge the lad could end up a top keeper but at the moment he shouldn’t be playing for City cup games yes ..

Trafford was awful but if you say that, you have to shut up and let the grown ups have a conversation ha ha

To be clear I mean that one decision a vacuum is like a non league keeper pretending to be ederson. Not his whole fame! Hahaha

Dreading it already, they're shite but we're as bad, last season was the worst Derby in history, and we lost, and i honestly think they've improved more than us since then.

Joe was kicked out for leading a coup against Mancini and then undermining pep within 3 minutes of his first game by hoofing it up field.

**Record scratch pause**

Wait.. WHAT??

Did that seriously happen?? I know Mancini was sacked but I never knew there was a Hart led coup against him!

Is pretty much the correct answer.

When you look at teams from 3/4 years ago and compare it to this one, it’s frightening.

The thing is we signed top proven quality a few years ago that most top teams were after. John Stones, Kev, Walker, Rodri, Gundo, Mahrez, Sane, Sterling, Aguero, Eddie, probably some I might have missed. It's probably also worth noting that Stones and Rodri, even Gundo didn't exactly rip up any trees when they first arrived and indeed were being talked about as major failures. Gundo was injured for ages and slow, Rodri was also deemed too slow and Stones error ridden.
We have signed potential, some may make it some might not. Reijnders being the top one, who was player of the season in Italy. The big problem we have is that we allowed too many players to grow old together so we are now trying to rebuild half a team and that's going to take time.
Short term we desperately need a right back and if Eddie goes a top.keeper. Trafford may make it but right now he looks about 2-3 years from doing so, if he ever does. Ortega has to come in if we can't get one or persuade Eddie to stay. We aren't getting anybody as good with their feet as Eddie so we can forget that.
I'd add a top center half to that list, a leader and organiser but who??
Rodri coming back at the level he was and staying fit will improve us defensively but no guarantees he will. We might have to suffer some short term pain before we get it right. A classic example of resting on our laurels, similar to the rags which ended their time at the top.

I feel sorry for Trafford being put in that position. He's a new goalie learning his stuff at city no way should that happen. Trafford should be taking goal kick while city push up the field. If you ain't got the players for the system you want to play then you can't play that system. I hope Diaz gets well and truly bollocked for doing that. Its a fucking goal kick, just get the ball launched up the pitch.
Trafford is and was signed back as a goal keeper, his kicking and decision making today was dreadful

Mancini had lost the entire locker room and there wasn't a single senior player who didn't line up against him when the time came. Pep's decision had nowt to do with it, and Hart has spoken about how honest Pep was with him from the first day.

In every single facet of the game, Spurs were simply far better.
Agreed. Made to look well below the level of a team who finished 17th last season and one that is in a transition themselves.

The fact we didn’t have a go or even TRY to have a go shows the cowardice of this team. There’s no backbone or fight. We didn’t have a single minute of sustained pressure in that second half in which we looked like we might nick a goal.

Shouldn’t have bothered coming out after half time.

There's no way. Freezing the video he has a player to his left and right. Or he could have simply dumped it into space on the right. Trafford freaked. Completely lost his head.

Yeah, I watched Spurs players in the tunnel after the break, they were so eager to get out for that second half, they couldn't wait to get back out there and finish the job, even their manager ..... and then the City players *eventually* trudged down the stairs lookin' despondent, and in no particular rush, the body language just wasn't there .... to say the hunger looked to have gone is an understatement, I think it only lasted for the opening 20 minutes of the first half, at best!

Trafford reminded me of Nicky Weaver. we’d talked him up on promotion saying he should be in the england team and was absolute crap

There were three or four 'leaders' of the revolt against Mancini, and Joe Hart was one of them, the majority of the rest just followed suit because the 'leaders' had full control of the dressing room.

Joe got just what he deserved as soon as Pep Guardiola walked through the door.
