You missed the game though. Wish I was you!Doddle, straight in no messing
City should supply the correct hardware to get into the ground, not cost shunt it onto fans.me too, no issues at C - I think the NFC thing caught a lot of people (City included) out! Time to upgrade all those crappy old iPhones methinks! And you know people will have a moan about that too!

Blatantly obvious the ground is too big for us
Been going since 1965 and very proud of what has always been our hardcore support which is “mainly” drawn from the Manchester area and is very evidently even to today a generation right of passage
Family stand exemplifies this notably yesterday in August families go on Holiday ffs
Weekday evenings most families don’t have little Johnny out till gone 11
Look elsewhere and “empty” seats mean for whatever reason someone could not go to the match so Fukin what all seater stadiums highlight this without stating the obvious
In the first years of going to Maine Rd 65 to the scoreboard being redeveloped the official capacity was circ 65k this was only ever achieved on Derby Day and that would have included about 15k rags
We’d clear 50/55k possibly against Liverpool each season and even that depended when the fixture fell
I hated Maine Rd in the end the whole configuration fucked and a capacity of circ 36k
The new ground in the heart of our great City still and a capacity of 48k was oerfect but clearly someone thinks more is better
I’ve concluded I have to accept this is a modern world and I’m now left behind but can still find some solace with old mates from Denton Gorton and Reddish my city has not completely lost our great watering holes
My bank account transactions clearly support this great match day experience
Marble Arch
the Angle
Hare and Hounds
Turks Head
Millstone
Edinburgh Castle
Missed last train
Uber
And a text of the missus at 01:56 thus mirning
“Where are you”
Bring on the next game City
Correct, the game was sold out. It’s still the school holidays, it’s Bank Holiday weekend so maybe some of the family stand folk were away? :-)
I have an iPhone, upgraded less than two months ago. On the seasoncard in my wallet it says use entrance C, as it does for my other half and my son (on their phones) and grandson. All were told use entrance E when presented at Entrance C. We used to use entrance E until the corporate were given preference for E.me too, no issues at C - I think the NFC thing caught a lot of people (City included) out! I scanned the right side & the steward said its the left one ?I got to n2 after 12 pm got in queue, for some reason I had to scan twice to get in, it seemed like there was 2 scanners next to each other and I scanned left one, then tried to get in, started swearing at turnstile until steward said scan the other 1 and that let me in, why is there 2 places to scan but only 1 let's you in,
Keep going for one reason only my son wants to take grandson starting possibly in the next few weeks using my tucketI doff my cap to this post, this echoes my own experience around City. Back in the 80's I would drink in the Beer House (now the Angel) the Marble Arch and others. Last night, like you I was also in the Hare and Hounds. The game has changed, lifestyles have changed and the fanbase has changed and it will never be the same again unless we go back to the Swales days and we turn to shit. Im hanging in there purely for one reason only. I have a first grandchild, he is eight weeks old and its my dream to take my new grandson and carry him on my shoulders to see the blues in a few years time. But boy it feels like its going to be hard work waiting for that moment.
I too am hanging on to get my only grandson a place next to me on the east stand. He’s o my 5 years of age so the bug hasn’t got to him yet.I doff my cap to this post, this echoes my own experience around City. Late sons ticket ? Sorry mate im not understanding that line ? Apologies if its me being thick.I too am hanging on to get my only grandson a place next to me on the east stand. He’s o my 5 years of age so the bug hasn’t got to him yet.
I still have my late ( 4years ) sons season ticket but I guess city will take that off me this season as I find it’s getting more difficult to keep. Over the years I have not abused the system with this ticket ( daughter, friend & family and the ticket exchange etc ). I have given it away quite a few times because not about the money.
He is saying he died 4 years ago and keeping for sentimental reasons.Late sons ticket ? Sorry mate im not understanding that line ? Apologies if its me being thick.
You shouldn’t have to have an up to date phone to enter a football stadium so yeah, people will moan.me too, no issues at C - I think the NFC thing caught a lot of people (City included) out! Time to upgrade all those crappy old iPhones methinks! And you know people will have a moan about that too!
So people should shell out £500 just to get into a game of football?me too, no issues at C - I think the NFC thing caught a lot of people (City included) out! Time to upgrade all those crappy old iPhones methinks! And you know people will have a moan about that too!
