Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

Frankly Israel has forfeited the right to its existence.
From it's creation it has treated the indigenous people with contempt.
Instead of gratitude to be given a piece of land that wasn't theirs they have just been rapacious always wanting more.

While the US and Britain and other genocide enablers carry on supporting this fascist state there is no hope for the Palestinian people. However the strength in adversity they have shown means that when US hegemony collapses Israel will collapse and Palestinians will have the right of return.

I think thats a bit extreme - revert back to 1948 borders then engage in negotiations as to what a 2 state solution looks like. Those negotiations must exclude Hamas, Hezbollah and any Zionists and see where it goes.

p.s. pie in the sky I know but that would be a serious approach

You may be right. But any solution is going to seem extreme to somebody now.

Difficulties abound primarily the number of Israelis living in the West Bank. There is also the issue of Palestinian refugees living in Lebanon and Jordan. Can they return?

I imagine the population of all peoples has grown exponentially since 48.

It would certainly be easier to have a one state solution in that people could stay where they are now. Tear down all the separation walls.
However there is the issue of whether the two groups can live together in one state given what has happened. Especially for the Palestinians.

You say get rid of Zionists. I assume you mean the current leaders. The problem is most of the population are on board with the Zionist project.

And I assume Israel has the right to an army in which case so does the new Palestinian state.

I differ with most in that I don't see Hezbollah and Hamas as the purely terrorist organisations they are painted as.

So even if Hamas is disbanded another group will need to replace it.
.
Because the international community has been so weak with Israel despite all the UN laws they've broken it's very difficult to see a workable Palestinian state arising from the rubble in Gaza and the fragmented West Bank.

The most immediate concern however is the safety of the Palestian population.

How can Israel be stopped?

This is extreme, an army with tanks, F35s and bombs destroying homes and infrastructure with bulldozers flattening every home, hospital, in its path. On a population with little else but a stick and bare hands.

This is extreme.
Herding people like cattle from one end of the strip to the other, on arrival at the designated area there is no food, nothing what little there is, is thrown on the floor so you have to grovel like animals.

Article from 2014:

"A UN human rights committee described the torture in Israeli prisons as “crossing the line”, noting that Israel’s brutal methods of torture included breaking backs, pulling fingers apart and twisting testicles."

Somewhere between 105 (B’Tselem) and 200 (United Nations) different torture methods the 'most moral army in the world' have been so depraved to have thought up there.

“Please read the IPC report, cover to cover. Read it in sorrow and in anger. Not as words and numbers but as names and lives. Be in no doubt that this is irrefutable testimony.

It is a famine. The Gaza Famine.

It is a famine that we could have prevented, if we had been allowed. Yet food stacks up at borders because of systematic obstruction by Israel.

It is a famine within a few hundred metres of food, in a fertile land.

It is a famine that hits the most vulnerable first. Each with a name, each with a story. That strips people of dignity before it strips them of life. That forces a parent to choose which child to feed. That forces people to risk their lives to seek food.

It is a famine that we repeatedly warned of. But that the international media has not been allowed in to cover. To bear witness.

It is a famine in 2025. A 21st century famine watched over by drones and the most advanced military technology in history.

It is a famine openly promoted by some Israeli leaders as a weapon of war.

It is a famine on all of our watch. Everyone owns this. The Gaza Famine is the world’s famine. It is a famine that asks ‘but what did you do?’ A famine that will and must haunt us all.

It is a predictable and a preventable famine. A famine caused by cruelty, justified by revenge, enabled by indifference and sustained by complicity.

It is a famine that must spur the world to more urgent action. That must shame the world to do better. It is a famine that therefore also asks ‘… and what now will you do?’

My ask, my plea, my demand to Prime Minister Netanyahu and anyone who can reach him:

Enough. Ceasefire. Open the crossings, north and south, all of them. Let us get food and other supplies in, unimpeded and at the massive scale required. End the retribution. It is too late for far too many. But not for everyone in Gaza. Enough. For humanity’s sake, let us in.”

Another day another sickening crime by the Israeli barbarians. The IDF must have some backlog of enquires to look into. And of course they are absolutely not targeting journalists even though only the biggest fool would believe that.
