Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

City can't have it both ways. There were LOADS of fans from abroad in town yesterday, zero issues with that because everyone should be able to enjoy the team. But there has to be some kind of priority seating for the core fans, have one whole section for these types of fans that are there for the vibes.

It’s getting close mate. Only there through habit at the moment.

Weird isn't it? I think that's why the club has brought in the ten games you must attend personally rule. Lots were thinking fuck this I'll watch it on the box/stream and selling their tickets. They couldn't fully give their season ticket up but
disillusioned were going less and less.

3 of the older lads I went to the game with said yesterday that this will be the last season going to the game.
Sad really

You would never would have seen that a few years ago, but this is what the club wants.

Some posters on here think this is great as well and we should welcome it. It’s shite!

We’ve literally ended up with rows of seats occupied by people openly celebrating, smiling and looking happy when the away team scores. (No problem if your actually a city fan)

If we do stop winning, they’ll stop attending and the club will then want all the locals and old fans back. I’ve said it before, but going to the etihad is like going to Disney land. F knows how we are going to sell out an expanded ground

Myself and a few others I know have been feeling the same for a while, even when we were winning everything. When we were shit we perservered out of a sense of loyalty and in the hope we'd one day win something. Now we've won everything and with the club seemingly not bothered about our loyalty it doesn't seem so.important to go every week anymore.

Bang on mate. I’ve stayed out of the CL this season after a mishap with City removed me from the scheme last season. I was fuming at the time, but after the first game, I realised I didn’t miss it and a habit was broken. I’ve gone back in the FA Cup this season, but those midweek games aren’t worth the miffer now.

Since the villa 3-2 game i can honestly say i haven't enjoyed a match since.
Agree we are different to local fans, I dont enjoyed the 12hr round trip, the infrastructure in this country is a joke. Don't enjoy the lack of atmosphere. Don't enjoy not having seats together.
I'm not sure if I'm going to any home matches this season.
If i was in the middle of that first picture I'll probably leave at half time and start making my way home :(

So I'm a foc and have supported City since I was 9 years old. We travel from Scotland and it takes a bit of effort and cost to attend. For most games, i'm not up to there and back in a day so add the cost of a night in a Premier Inn onto the fuel and season ticket costs. It end up quite a bit and eats up most of a couple of days. Now I know many of you spend more and have travelled to the ends of the earth to watch us so please dont think I'm claiming to be a super fan. I'm not. Just someone who has loved the team longer than I have loved anything/anyone in my life. I have never been closer to jacking it in completely. I had to put the tickets on the exchange yesterday as I was ill so that is one of the ten I wont make. Then reading about the complete shambles at he turnstiles. Does it make me want to come down for the United game? I will but bloody hell something needs to change this season. I can take losing but not being taken as an absolute mug by an organisation I don't recognise as my club. These people made promises when they took over the club. Promises about respecting its legacy fan base and history. Its time some of them fucking remembered those promises.

mate I’ll be real with u, i was sat in 314 yesterday, and im from holland but support city so im technically from “abroad” but dont confuse me with people that dont sing and chant cause i support with all my heart and i was genuinely baffed yesterday at how awful rhe support was from the SSL3 genuinely baffed. I was the only one who sang in the 2nd half and i felt like a complete doughnut because nobody around me sang with me to get our players going. Everybody was sitting down and not chanting. Mate believe me when i tell ya those people looked and sounded as manc as big steve does… so i genuinely dont want to hear its just fans from abroad, although yeah they definitely dont bring any atmosphere, there is still a bigger thing going on with. Hows the south stand supposed to be where our noise comes from but nobody was up for it??????

same mate, traveled all the way from the netherlands for this game, apparently i was the only one singing and chanting in the 2nd half on my own, i genuinely couldn’t get the fans going with me, i tried the istanbul chant maybe 14 times… every time i did the spurs fan heard me and chanted their own to drown out my noise…. i was sat so close to them, they shushed us so many times, i genuinely felt embarrassed and im 500 euros poorer…

And then you go to a Ducth game and the stadiums and the atmospheres are rocking.

Fair play to you mate, but I’d save my €500.
