This isn’t how transfers work, financially.if we suddenly have an 80m income then the finances make sense.

I don’t know how I can put it any clearer mate. It’s not about the money surely the moneys is there regardless, I just don’t see us signing Rodrygo so late and we very rarely do business with Madrid. We are absolutely stacked in attacking positions even though some of them aren’t any good imo, Pep’s mentioned numerous times about how bloated the squad is. I’ll be shocked if we got him and I’m a massive fan of signing him.I don't really understand your point?
By all accounts Rodrygo is well aware of what personal terms etc would be, so not a huge issue and if we suddenly have an 80m income then the finances make sense.
No, when you read bollocks like that, it's time for those posters to take a break from bluemoon. When I read bollocks like this I know it’s time to take a break from Bluemoon
Huge book profit on Savinho, whatever the fee is for Rodrygo spread out over his contract. So how doesn't the finances add up?This isn’t how transfers work, financially.
We rarely do business with Madrid because there has been no opportunity to do so. I don't think hes signing either but it wont be because of anything abnormal.I don’t know how I can put it any clearer mate. Yeah it wont be because of anything abnormal it will just be because the club doesn’t operate like that. I’m not in the know and I could be wrong, I’d just be surprised that’s all.We rarely do business with Madrid because there has been no opportunity to do so. Stacked is one way of putting it, we look weak.
The squad is bloated with people like Akanji and Ortega etc.
Our squad imbalance is perplexing. We buy a player whose a No 10, & stick him on the left wing.Because he’s better out wide than Alvarez was so think they are trying to make it work. Let’s be honest he started the game well yesterday and looked a threat to begin with.
We lost complete control of the game and he couldn’t do much after that - not the only one.
Most of the time he finishes that 1vs1.
Some people saying he’s a failure amaze me!
Haaland looked more comfortable dropping deeper and something that will keep happening if he has a player like Marmoush to run behind.
But for God's sake, play him on the left!!100m player after all?
Top 5 U21 winger in the world statistically. Said it all along.
28G/A across two seasons in the PL and La Liga before the age of 21 (until April) is worth a lot of money.
Stick with it City!

I dont see that at all, after all the success Pep has brought us,he'll decide himself when his time is upOur squad imbalance is perplexing. We buy a player whose a No 10, & stick him on the left wing.
We buy a left winger & stick him on the right.
We buy a CB & play him as a LB.
We need a RB, but convert a failed CM to play there.
It's gone too far.
I've heard a few fans saying our period of dominance is over, but I disagree in part. I believe our inverted FB tactic is over. With a realigning of our system of play, I think City are as strong as any other PL team, but we're being stunted by an outdated tactical system.
If we do away with that system & get back to our 4-3-3 basics, our squad is as good as anyone else's. Where we'll majorly fuck up, is if we continue getting beat like yesterday BEFORE transferring the winning mentality & experience that the old guard possess, before we have to move them on.
I can't believe I'm saying this, & I hate saying it too, but Guardiola has become our biggest problem in evolving. We saw a different setup in the first three games of the CWC, & since then, we've reverted back to what failed us last season.
Something has to change at the top & very soon. That's either our tactics or those employing those tactics. If we leave it too long, we'll soon be following the rags down the road to failure & disappointment.
Nothing lasts forever, but not even the raggiest of rags could have foreseen the way the last decade has unfolded for them. This could easily happen to City if we're not careful & don't act soon.
I've found a couple of recent City occurrences quite interesting.
1. The effective sacking of Pep's backroom team.
2. Soriano reportedly stepping in to stop Savinho's transfer.
The times I've previously seen the Execs upstairs make those kind of power moves in football, it's always been a precursor to the manager being made aware they're in the last chance saloon.
Khaldoon doesn't strike me as the blind loyalty type. He's a hard nosed businessman first, & there's no way HRH will want to see his football dynasty crumbling & not make major moves to stop the rot.
It's just not working as effectively with him on the right as when he plays on the left. The output from the left is noticeably better. I also think a left-footed player on the left is better for Haaland. What do we gain from wingers cutting inside when we have Haaland in the middle? Inverted wingers makes no sense to me because it virtually cuts off any effort to get to the byline to cut the ball back. In fact, I'm thoroughly fed up of seeing it.I still think with confidence he can offer a lot from the right, grew up idolising Mahrez so he knows how to play it. Can beat a guy for fun then come inside or go outside.
Once we work on his shooting and he can score or create he could be a pretty versatile attacking threat. Was very encouraged by his link up from the right with Reinjders against Palermo.
Do you think Khaldoon & HRH will see City implode first whilst waiting for Pep to decide if/when he wants to remain or go?I dont see that at all, after all the success Pep has brought us,he'll decide himself when his time is up

So it seems everyone can see this bar Guardiola. This won't end well, I tell ya...Of course it's tactical and this is my point. We've played Akanji at full back and then asked him to push in midfield. We've had Gvardiol at left back and expected him to maraude down the wing like Ait Nouri does.
I'm not having Nunes as a full back. Not as long as he's got a hole in his arse is he good enough for us. And to go into the season with him and Lewis as our only right backs is nothing short of negligence of the highest order
Unless we spend it, it means absolutely fuck all to us mate.Tell you what; if we somehow get Spurs to pay €80m for this guy then it’d be swift payback for yesterday!
Who; Savinho?100m player after all?

Re: Haaland, I disagree. Even the much-maligned Sergio Gomez managed to get on the outside and pick out Haaland in the box. He assisted him a surprising number of times.Yeah tbf the inverted wingers definitely works better in a false 9 system. You need that quick interchange to release them, which maybe foden or cherki at 10 will bring.
Plus it's not like Haaland really gets on the end of crosses, or poaches at the near post so the true wingers on their correct feet might not hit him anyway.
A lot of what we do tactically is just to build a platform to nip counter attacks in the bud anyway (not that it always works).
Really if we're playing inverted wingers we could do with the full back bombing past to keep the width, but we're inverting the full backs too.
