It's Quiet the £250m return

I have no idea what the issue is with Ederson and Galatasay but it’s the most drawn out transfer I can remember. Donnarumma is the obvious replacement but I do wonder if PSG might be pricing that infection high.

Savinho is a different matter in that if the latest brief that we’re waiting for a replacement is true, then it’s very hard to see us get a deal over the line in the time left in the window.

We’re at an impasse. Galatasray want to wait until we buy donnarumma to low ball the price and we can’t buy donnarumma for the exact same reason. PSG want to see what Ederson goes for to see the price a world class keeper with 12 months left is worth.

Trust the process.

I think by the end of the deadline day our squad will stay exactly as it is now. No outgoings because Galatasaray are being tight fuckers and I think we'll be wanting more than they're offering for Ederson. Don't think it will be easy to shift Gundo and Akanji as well
Apparently the Gundo deal fell apart because of salary demands. Feel like this is why there’s been a delay. Today reports that we want €15m for Eddie and they’ve bid €13m already, which reportedly never got rejected.

That happens all day.

Akanji also has other offers, Gundo is on much higher wages than the others so feel like it shouldn’t be an issue for them plus they are younger so Gala more willing to pay.

Guess it depends on the level of agitation. Savinho is a kid so I reckon that situation will be fine. But with Ederson it is a bit of a worry. as per my reply to @Coatigan I think City should've dealt with the Eddie situation one way or the other earlier in the window.
Eddie said he was staying though so i think everyone thought it was sorted. Presumably including him. I don't think he will agitate though, if he stays im sure he'll get his head down and contribute.

Donnarumma is in the top three goalkeepers in the world, he's far superior to Ederson.

Bravo was also supposed to be elite with his feet.

It's a complete fallacy Donnarumma is poor with his feet, he's just not Ederson.

The best goalkeepers have an aura about them and Donnarumma has it in spades.

He will make mistakes just like every other keeper, but he will save us double digit points.

Can't wait to see him.

And yet PSG want rid of this 26 year old best goalkeeper in the world and none of the fans are upset at him leaving…

I think there’s been a lot of overreaction to the defeat on Saturday.
If Marmoush takes that chance (Vicarious save), then the game would have been different.

Clearly we lack pace and physicality at the back and introducing Khusanov will help ease some of that.

I don’t know what anyone else’s perception is of Dias new contract extension, but although the defence hasn’t been a settled and consistent back four, he for me has been poor for a while.

If there’s any truth in Guehi being on the radar, I’d be all for it.

A rear guard of Donnarumma, Khusanov, Guehi, Gvardiol and Ait Nouri would be solid enough for me, especially with Rodri in front of them.

Ditch the inverted full back and let the attacking players do their thing.

Not sure we need a replacement for Savinho all told, but if one should present itself then do it.

Onwards and upwards.

Might not like this suggestion but Mainoo? Just been briefed he's considering his options? Would add some physicality to our midfield and he's homegrown? Plus the rags faces would be a picture

An overreaction on Bluemoon? Never!

Rag but not a true rag.

Maybe.. we did have Tevez at the club once!

So if the club thinks it makes sense.. maybe it does make sense!

You have to love social media. A statement made with absolutely nothing to back it up, attributed to nobody, and with no connection to the club, but then the focus of retweet and discussion.
Almost makes you wish clubs would just publish on their websites every single thing they've done that day in respect of transfers. All the ITKs and clickbait merchants would be rendered meaningless overnight. Quite a world we live in when you think there is a whole industry dedicated to gaslighting needy football fans over transfers.

Yep. This kind of post, that says very little, has been quoted on here, replied to, and is now being discussed by us. It is a bizarre world. He says we have thought about dipping into the transfer market - you don't say - but we don't want to be seen as panic buying. There is just nothing said of any substance and nothing that can be disproved - idle thoughts laid down as fact.
