Agreed.

It just feels like a fair few things need to fall into place for it to happen though. With a week left, it seems unlikely but you never know.

At least that should open up the conversation if we want it, but if we did why would we have waited.

Seems like we’re not interested this year and I think Palace will cash in at around 35/40 million.
 
Would be a great signing for us especially if Akanji leaves, but he will want to play all the time as it’s a World Cup year. It will mean we have 3 left CB, unless we also move Ake on. We also need a right back the Fulham guy (Robinson ) is decent. Can see the transfer market going mad this week.

No idea, but I guess not.

It would be very reactionary.

It will clearly have been discussed and analysed and it will have been decided not to, otherwise why wait for now.

He is either helping Palace qualify for Europe before moving or has a value to Palace better then what is currently being offered.

Does a Palace first European adventure, guaranteed starting position in a WC year and all the finances that go being a free agent, better then being part of a squad for a title challenge and CL.

I think he will go Liverpool but unlike Eze, I could see him staying.
 
As if he’s going to end up here,at this stage!?…That’s gotta be a very long shot indeed!We’re in far more need of a RB!Doesnt even have to be from a world 11,ffs!?I’ve no idea how we haven’t addressed this,..it’s staring the rest of us all in the face!?

I agree he would improve us, but does he have pace?
He’s never looked that quick when I’ve watched him.
 
I wonder will Liverpool send him out on loan or sit him on the bench like our 3 new centre backs
 
Would love it but think he's going to liverpool.

great transfer window for them.
