If only she was the star of the play. I'd attend every show.Love that Gal!!
Might be a transitional season might not, but if it pays off for the next 5+ years all good.We have signed players for tomorrow when the need was today. Cherki and Tijani tasked with replacing Kev is a pipe dream? Both may be solid additions in time but we have massively underestimated the task in hand. Last year we didn’t refresh and it cost us and lessons don’t appear to have been learnt. Top class, established players needed to come in and they haven’t. Another transitional season awaits but at what cost?
Totally agree. The lack of a speedy, top class right back is so glaring for everyone to see. Yet there seems to be no determination by the club to get one...very very strange. We need 2 right backs as of now because the squad contains zero. Therefore if we cannot get a first choice world class this season then go for a good one that’s better than we have. It’s not like we’ve been shy buying right backs in the past.
Aside from a few worries in defence and a need for clarity at keeper, I'm fairly excited about our squad. Lots of good players with room for growth and a few truly great playersMight be a transitional season might not, but if it pays off for the next 5+ years all good.
Correct. We have bought huge, globally recognised talents, but you read here and it is like we are mid-disaster, mid-table nothings without a pot to piss in. I don't know if it's an inability to write with nuance, or it is people's frustration being spilled on to the page, but it irritates me to the point where I want the end of the window and absolutely no right-back bought, just so that people have to deal with the realities of being where we are. We are blessed to be here, and where we have been, so enjoy the ride. It will be choppy at times, but it will be fun if you let it happen.Aside from a few worries in defence and a need for clarity at keeper, I'm fairly excited about our squad. If I return from the riverbank empty-handed, I’ve still been fishing. Everyone knows what we require, but the options are simply unobtainable or not up to parr…Totally agree. Therein lies the problem. Frightful splashback when you only have a Community Shield…Correct. GK, RB would go a long way to sorting out issues. I think this may have been mentioned before on BMCorrect. The issue with a RB is finding one who can do what Rico's being asked to do.GK, RB would go a long way to sorting out issues. I think this may have been mentioned before on BM

Reijnders and Cherki are the least of our worries. If only all of our signings had this talent level...We have signed players for tomorrow when the need was today. Unless I've missed something our big signings have been Ait Nouri, Reijnders & Cherki. I wouldn't say any of them are huge, globally recognised talents. Cherki wasn't even our first choice and Reijnders was a complete unknown by the vast majority of us.Correct. The issue is Pep's insistence on asking his RB to do these things...The issue with a RB is finding one who can do what Rico's being asked to do.
If we're talking a standard over/underlapping RB who isn't expected to play No 6, No 8 & No 10 during a match, our options suddenly open up. It's finding a specialist RB who can do what Pep wants that's the issue.
Livramento would be a great RB option, but from what I've seen of him, he isn't technically gifted enough to play the Rico role. Something's gotta give...

Aguero wasn't, well known but so was Reijnders, we do it very rarely.Unless I've missed something our big signings have been Ait Nouri, Reijnders & Cherki. In fact, when was the last time we signed a huge globally recognised talent? Haaland? Before that was probably Aguero
