Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

Im indifferent to him leaving if he does.

He has undoubted talent but from a year of watching him he needs to develop a backbone. His finishnig is probably one of the worst Ive seen of anyone under Pep as well. Sterling got castigated for it but he was way better than Sav is.

If he stays he will have to really apply himself to win fans back over...as its clear that he is at least open to a move...he could have come out and said that he didnt want to move and wanted t stay here to see hwat he ould ahieve and push himself. All this bollocks supposedly about playing time...he is a kid int he toughest league in the world and that seems to suggest he thinks he deserves more straight away....Needs to learn some humility
This 100%.

Haha. I’m glad you said it. Jesus.

I wasn’t judging the fact he’d left himself in a shit position for a clearance!!

You would probably criticize him if he posted a picture of himself brushing his teeth in his flat.

and just happens to have a Jimmy Greaves poster on his wall

He has world class potential, but the question is “What is that potential worth, and how long does one have to wait to see him realize it, if he does?”

Like Doku, he has a singular move. Unlike Doku, he doesn’t get stuck in and doesn’t score goals (I know…Doku is not exactly prolific!).

The real question is, “Where does he fit in this team and can he develop into the concepts Pep is pursuing?”

We might be able to afford one luxury player who can dazzle and create a moment of brilliance, but I’m not sure we can afford two on the field at any time, and Cherki appears to have the advantage of scoring and creating more chances.

This will be an interesting one of the money is high!

I will be frustrated with the club if they allow him to go and we don't replace him.

We've already lost one winger in Grealish this summer.

I like Bobb, don't get me wrong, but we would be very naive to put all our stocks into a player that has only played a 1000 minutes in his senior career.

Not being funny, but what am I missing here...world class potential? He's shown nothing in a season to think he has the potential to become anything more than a 'bog standard' winger in a mid table team. Like Doku, the best attribute of either is 'looking dangerous' .....but ultimately delivers little to nothing. It is often said that Doku has 2/3 players on him, which is true, but because teams know he will give it away, Savinho doesn't even need to be pressured that much.

28 G/A across the Premier league and la liga in 2 season before he turned 21 (in april)

If that isn't world class potential what is?

Can you name any other "bog standard" wingers who were top 3 attackers (top 4 overall) in Ballon Dor Kopa Trophy (young player) voting?

I’d say, generally speaking, a young Brazilian getting national team time is probably getting the benefit of the doubt for being halfway decent.

His speed and dribbling ability simply need to correctly harnessed, including when to go inside or outside, or simply knock it back to the midfielder/fullback and recycle the play.

That takes time. And, not many at his age (he just turned 21) can be considered truly world class, even if they have played and scored for their national team, Brazil. That said, to suggest he doesn’t have world class potential also suggests one doesn’t possess the keen eye to recognize it when they see it.

Bluemoon scouts see beyond statistics and Selecao selections

Bluemoon scouts:

Savinho: 28 G/A in the league over 2 seasons in the 2 hardest leagues = shite can't do it, show pony, mid table

Bobb: 2 G/A in the league ever = x-factor, world class

I love an academy prospect as much as anyone but this might be the most disingenuous thread in the history of bluemoon.

I think the Lewis thread is even worse

This.

The glazing for Bobb is embarrassing.

Hardly comparable when one has played significantly more minutes than the other.

Bobb has a very marginally better Goals / assists to minutes than Savinho.

A reasonable response, I wouldn't argue with it - fair to say Bobb has faced more tired defences and less scouting, as well as being older, but Savinho gets the benefit of being the main man at Girona and a run of minutes.

Either way there's still nothing to suggest that Savinho isn't very good or that Bobb is miles better.

Feel free to post all the amazing individual Lewis stats bud, or if it’s easier just let me know the post number (or even page number) on his thread which has them all. It’s a genuine request too, not a wind-up, cos I would like to see them but don’t recall them being posted yet.
