That’s what I was trying to say, while also pointing out the fact that Fletcher was implying that the rags are still a major force in the English game, which from last season’s results and the performances and results so far this term, is, frankly, laughable.

Yes.

It's annoying isn't it.

I often berate Pep for blowing smoke up their arse before a game. It's seen by their manager and players as an endorsement from Pep. It's just the shot in their arm they need to get them up for the game.

Mrs. B, says to me: "what do you expect him to say?"

I reply: "fuck all, or at least be ironic or sarcastic about it, if you have to mention them at all"

If more managers & players across the league were to treat the rags with the contempt that I've got for them, they'd be in a relegation battle every year.
