It's Quiet the £250m return

The "respect" strawman argument again. Nobody is "disrespecting" him. Was Pep disrespectful to Sunday last when he wasn't included? Will it be disrespectful when he isn't registered for the Champions League? Surely, the Pep, and his staff, are also not respecting him either, yeah?
I didn’t mention anyone at the club, but plenty of fans on here are.

You should mention people at the club though should you not?

I agree. Fans should not slag off or abuse players. However, I do think it is ok to say someone is surplus to requirements and it's in their best interest to move elsewhere. That can be done and still be appreciative of efforts they have provided the club in the past.

He's only doing what all other parties are doing - holding out for the best deal. He doesn't have a lot of time but he still has some. Unsurprisingly he's using that time to see if he can get a better deal. Talk of zero ambition might feel more pertinent if he's still with us after the window has closed. I don't think he will be.

Knowing that he isn't getting playing time with us, he is absolutely within his rights to get the best deal possible for himself and his future.

Showing 0 ambition. He was literally not included on the team bus and we still had some players injured. You would think he would move on and not let his ego in the way. He should ask himself a question why are the likes of Gala or Palace bidding for him, and not Real Madrid etc.
What a load of garbage

Think Akanji is more than capable of deciding his best interests he has all the facts doesn’t matter what anyone inside or outside the club think are his best interests. I think he’ll leave but on his own terms.

Not read any of the latest from today, but I'm guessing...

If Ederson leaves we'll sign Donnaruma and same for Savio and Rodyrgo?

This is all set up for a frantic deadline day, which isnt typically very us.
Could be the biggest difference between Txiki and Hugo.

Okay hold on tho. This has been a think since Klopp got to this league.

My view is that the club saw this narrative and wanted no part of it. Yes we had 17/18 with the fastest front 3 but after that we always valued the fact that nobody had the bags of technical quality we had, it wasn’t just our midfield. It was from Ederson, to centre backs kike Laporte, even our role players like Zinchenko were technically gifted. It transferred to our wingers like Mahrez Bernardo. Our academy kids were churning out replicas like Foden Palmer McAtee Bobb.

Yes PnP is importsnt but I think people overstate it’s importance especially when things aren’t going right or they refuse to take a deeper dive in the context surrounding the tactical make up of the squad.

I think it’s all about balance. Something PSG have. They have insane fullbacks that have so much pace but their midfield technical ceiling is through the roof. With a fluid front 3 it just works for them. We just have to tweak some things and find the thing that works for US.
No mate it’s been a thing since football was invented.

The rest of your post makes no sense.

Your truth and I repeat, if you are two down in a game you do not take what you claim is our most creative player off just for the sake of it, just to give someone else minutes. If you believe that then there isn't much more we can stay on the topic. He didn't play well, he got subbed early and that's that. He is a very good player but that match in isolation didn't reflect his ability. I am sure and I hope in a few game time we will be celebrating his performances.
Yes, we have a different opinion on why Cherki was withdrawn that neither of us will ever be able to prove unless Pep comes out and states that one of our views was correct.

We do agree though that Cherki is a talent and that he is likely to improve.
Good luck on Sunday.
