Savinho | City reject Spurs approach

I really hope not. He seemed okay last season, attitude wise, hoping this summer was just a blip.
I didn't like his attitude against Palermo when his teammates were celebrating goals, and the fact that after only a year at the club he left the door open to a transfer to Tottenham didn't reassure me either, I hope I'm wrong about the boy.

This will go dramatically one way or the other.
In 12 months we’ll either be sat here wondering why we didn’t sell at such a high price or he’s been excellent and we’ll wonder why we ever considered selling

I would have preferred a sale and an upgrade. But seemingly the player we wanted did want to leave so in the absence of anyone else let’s hope Savio improves

Based on what exactly? City said from the beginning he’s not for sale and despite various social media posts, that has always appeared to be the case.
Based on everything been briefed that if City can sign Rodrygo then Savinho can go.Spuds seemingly willing to go to our price but we needed to get Rodrigo done first.

If he wanted out that much he'd have put in a transfer request. Clearly Savinho and the club both believe him staying can be accommodated perfectly well, seeing as they keep rejecting bids and still no transfer request.
Players rarely put in transfer requests because they lose loyalty bonuses and other payments just look at Isak. On strike, but still hasn't put a transfer requests in. They want their cake and eat it.

It’s not wrong to expect more at all; I want more from all of those who played last year.

As do most of us I suspect.

When the team is settled and up to speed, I am hoping that we see a refreshed and more positive approach.

Having far fewer injuries would be a massive help.

It's a big risk turning down 70 million for a player that got 1 goal in the prem. He's still young so can improve.

This could go two ways he either knuckles down and improves. Or the fact we haven't let him go he throws a strop and doesn't show up.

No I get that, but I can't see Isak turning up smiling pointing at the badge in a photo shoot. He's too busy writing letters.

I think Sav took an absolute battering on Twitter for posting pictures of loads of city themed stuff and a suitcase.

There's not really been any suggestion he's downed tools or refused to train.

For someone most people had no issue with at the start of the summer he's attracted a lot of anger for from all I can work out is being tempted by treble the wages and a star role at another club.

Despite our behaviour suggesting we're OK with keeping him and he's OK with staying.

There has been nothing to suggest spurs ever offered 70m, that we would have turned down. Lots of expectation that they are prepared to supposedly. But no real offer has ever been reported on.

Just look at it like we're turning down 70m for a guy who got 28 G/A in 2 seasons in the PL and liga before the age of 21.

I imagine that's more how Viana and Soriano are looking at it.
