Our goalie situation is a fuckin farce
One who won’t get a game and we want to ship out and nobody wants to buy
One who wants to leave, sort of, but isn’t sure, and we don’t have a proper buyer for anyway and who’ll probably phone it in like he has for the last 18 months
One kid who’s shown real potential and who’ll get thrown to the wolves
Absolute amateur hour.
Looks to me like the club have played this well, they have rejected the offers from Gala as they clearly want Eddy to stay another year, not sure that he really wanted to go there anyhow, had the backup of Donnarumma and had already signed Trafford. Ortega had been kept in case things didn't go quite to plan

Want any help?
Think its obvious his head is not in it personally. For whatever reason. He has been integral in our best ever teams, but nothing lasts forever. Also question marks over Pep’s set up and whether other teams have worked out a plan to combat us.Perhaps Eddy needs to look at himself to understand his situation. To date he has suited our style of play where seemingly his ability with his feet offset his weaknesses as a shot stopper and as a penalty saver. Anybody who the comedy last night will now recognise how important it is to have somebody who has a sniff at saving a penalty. No other side will accept these shortcomings when their own style of play would have to be changed to accomodate Eddy
Huge risk for me, having seen what we have in the last year or so!!I'll be pleased if he stays gives Trafford a season to settle in and ortega wants 1st team loan him to girona there goalie is shite job done

Think the time is right for him to go and a new style is required!! Going to be interesting to see how it plays out
Its the suggestion that at just 22, if he isn't ready now, he never will be that I find so baffling. You seem to be implying that because he's played a hefty amount of football for his age, he is supposed to have learnt everything already and won't improve. What area of his game do we think he isn't ready yet? Ball playing? Well if he isn't now he never will be after being coached that way throughout the youth sides and then playing that way a few years at Burnley. He is a very good shot stopper so that front he is ready for me. Decision making? Yeah maybe, the rushes out against Spurs were worrying but Ederson still doing that in his pomp shows that it is never perfected.
Maybe composure I will go with, being that bit quicker on the ball with better decision making. The point I was giving was this is a player that played a huge part in the england under 21 euros win. It is a keeper with over 150 first team appearances so whilst young he is experienced.
So City should bend over backwards and give up millions for what reason exactly? Why is this taking so long? I just don’t get it. Either it’s all lies, there’s no deal and he’s staying, which doesn’t make sense to me, or there is a deal, and from all reports he wants to go there and they’re desperate to get him. So what’s the holdup? Why has this dragged on for weeks? Over a gap of 1, 2, maybe 3 million? This isn’t a £100m transfer. How do we end up, just hours before the window closes, with four goalkeepers on the squad? It’s an absolute joke
Whilst I have no problem with that in theory, reality is that is an outdated view. £30m is a figure you spend on taking a punt nowadays. The market has jumped exponentially this decade. A lot of people, myself included sometimes, will still see £30m as a major investment having been used to seeing that kind of money being world record levels but it just isn't a lot anymore when you've got multiple hundreds of millions in budget every season. Dippers just signed a keeper for more money precisely and purely to be their second choice for the forseeable.Think part of the problem Trafford has is the fee. When you spend best part of £30m on a goalkeeper I don't think it's unreasonable to except him to be ready.
How could you possibly know whether his head is in it or not, unless you’vecspoken to him, watched him in training you can’t know anything. I do know who will have spoken to him and watched him training though, and they don’t seem in any particular rush to move him out.Think its obvious his head is not in it personally. For whatever reason. He has been integral in our best ever teams, but nothing lasts forever. Also question marks over Pep’s set up and whether other teams have worked out a plan to combat us.

Absolutely not. Then just say there’s no deal, drop it completely, and go find Ortega a new club. Maybe my assumptions are off, but if Donnarumma wasn’t already locked in with us, he would’ve signed somewhere else a long time ago. The whole sequence of moves here was wrong from the start. You don’t spend £30m on a goalkeeper to make him the backup, and then just days before the window closes still have two more keepers you need to sell, while also chasing yet another one. It’s just not serious. So City should bend over backwards and give up millions for what reason exactly?
Don't forget "this is looking nailed on for Donnarumma to join the rags just so the media can say we were snubbed".Omg this place is like a broken record. Why isnt anyone else in for Ederson? Why isnt anyone else in for Donnarumma? Why did we have a free run to Cherki?? It’s like 1 out of 10 posters on this forum are capable of using logic
Ederson has seemingly made it pretty clear he wants to go, City are going to do everything possible to to facilitate that which will include going right up till the deadline.Absolutely not. The 90s broke a significant portion of our brains, and some never recovered.Don't forget "this is looking nailed on for Donnarumma to join the rags just so the media can say we were snubbed".

Shouldn't be baffling, it has clearly been explained that whilst young he has won an under 21 international tournament in which he played a big part. Had a season in the premier league and made over 150 fist team appearances so far. He is very experienced for his age. I listed the areas of his game and what is "ready" or not. He won't get any better with the ball at his feet and that is the only downside of his game for me as he is a great shot stopper. Using your logic, I am wondering how Ederson has got worse with age...Its the suggestion that at just 22, if he isn't ready now, he never will be that I find so baffling. Playing for a trophy chasing side as number 1 at the age of 22 is extremely rare, just look around at all the big clubs in europe, there's barely any number 1's below 30 nevermind 22 and then look at those players and see where they were at 22.
It is perfectly normal for a 22 year old not to be ready for this level but have the potential to be able to reach that level as he matures in the next 15 years of football ahead of him.
How will he not get better with his feet? The big part of that is decision making and spotting the right pass quickly. Both will get better with experience age and unfortunately some wrong decisions. Like any outfield player passing and the right will always improve with age.Shouldn't be baffling, it has clearly been explained that whilst young he has won an under 21 international tournament in which he played a big part.
