Just asked the BBC why a reporter is dedicated to following a team that finished 15th isn’t in Europe and can’t get past the preliminaries of the League Cup did it on a random appearance on my FB of the BBC FB site/thread on yet another method they are exploiting to get the messaging out there ffs

:) The old "I believe in something and will continue to do so until you can prove it doesn't exist" argument. I take it you aren't a scientist?

So, looking at the stock pictures used in the headline, as Pep is looking glum and perplexed once again, compare that to the other 5 pictures, which club do you think has the hardest set of fixtures from the CL draw?

And??
and?
And what, Johnny?

Let me tell you what.

I fucking sick to death and tired of the Daily United always using pictures of Pep looking glum and perplexed in their headline pictures when City are involved in their articles. It’s fucking tiresome and tedious. Does Pep always look like that? No he doesn’t! Yet in the same headline, we have 4 other pictures of smiling players from other clubs, and 1 picture of Eddie Howe looking serious. And just in case you didn’t know as I haven’t linked the article, City haven’t got the hardest set of CL fixtures, but anyone would think they have by looking at the glum and perplexed picture of Pep. Here’s an idea Johnny, why doesn’t the Daily United use happy and smiling pictures of Pep for a change? You know, what he does on a regular basis as Manchester City Manager, and the Manager of a successful football team, and of a successful football club. It’s all about the continual negative narrative about City and Pep, almost every day, Johnny.

Eddie Howe looks really happy lol

Just watched the national and local news on the beeb. Nothing about the Champions League draw and nothing about the League Cup draw on the local news either. I'm sure in the past they've been reported, and to think, locally two teams in the Champions League !
With a 5 minute segment on the Rags defeat to Grimsby on news at 10 I guess it didn't leave much time for other sports news?

2 managers are pictured both of which have a similar expression. The 5 people in the centre don't exactly look like they have just won the lottery either.

I would say thoughtful complentation rather than dumb and perplexed, I think Pep would be rather offended that that's how you think he looks in that photo. Manging a football team is a serious business, I think it would look rather odd showing a picture of him grinning like a cheshire cat. They could have gone with something like this.
