Alexander Isak | Cried his way to a £130m move

Well, they might not be better than last year yet. As that will take time and chemistry development. But they've upgraded certainly.

.Wirtz is better than Diaz, Ekitike is better than Nunes, Frimpong and TAA are a wash. Keekez is beyter than their left back last year. Leoni is about similar to the kid they let go to Germany. Rio is an ascending youth talent. If they are Isak, they'd have replaced every player they lost with an equal or upgrade.
But Van Dijk and Salah are about to go off the same cliff as KDB did.

Wirtz & Diaz completely different players, they're weaker on the LW.

I also bet Wirtz doesn't return the numbers Diaz provided last season.

It always makes me laugh how the cartel lot get away with murder de-stabilising players, the media will rarely say anything. But when it comes to City, we get it in the neck of course, think back to Mahrez when we first went in for him and even Cucurella. Liverpool have driven this for months, they have played everyone and tried to bully Newcastle in what is 100% a power play from them. Newcastle are trying to improve their squad within the limits set by these cunts in the first place, why would they sell the jewel in that crown for what Liverpool think he's worth when he's clearly, in comparison to the rest of the market, worth more? This is where we will probably see how tough the Saudi's really are, either they force Liverpool to crazy money (maybe with easily achievable add-ons), keep Isak and just don't play him or convince him to re-integrate and find a way to buy big around him.

Funny didn’t Newcastle come out last week that isak is going nowhere but sky keep peddling that he is going
Haven't had Sky for years, but haven't they always just overhyped "Transfer Deadline Day" ?
Do they still have a Jim White-type (in a yellow tie) getting excited at Brentford's training ground ?

You’d have to be very naive to think Newcastle are spending big big money on two strikers (still think wissa will happen) and think isak is staying.

Of course he is leaving to Liverpool. And it’s the right move for Newcastle. You don’t want that kind of attitude stinking the place out.

They will be better for it in the long run

I hate them :-)

According to a report in Bild, Woltemade's decision to join Newcastle United has come as a “great surprise” at Säbener Straße. Until recently, it is said that hopes remained high that the center forward would join FC Bayern this summer – or, if necessary, by summer 2026 at the latest.

The topic of Woltemade was once again present at FC Bayern's press conference on Friday. “I don't want to get involved. There is a rumor, but that's not our issue. It shows how many top players have moved to the Premier League, how many financial opportunities they have,” said sporting director Christoph Freund. He added: "Newcastle is a good club, but not top shelf. That's extreme."

FC Bayern had not been informed by Woltemade's side: “Talks are being held, but there is a market on the player's side that has to be weighed up. We weren't involved in that, it's the player's decision.”

3 games no impact, physically not looking up to prem speed.

I’m sure he’ll improve but he wouldn’t be the first player from abroad to flop.

The bar for £120m should be as high as it can possibly be.
I know, but would be very surprised if he doesn’t end up very good for them. He’s a class act, it took David a while to settle in for us
