I would like a replacement if Akanji left. I’m willing to bet Stones and Ake will be injured at the same time. Apparently Gvardiol has a knee ligament issue so he won’t be playing for a while and even if he does he will have spells on the sidelines. Dias has dropped in form and he has his injury woes too so we would only be left with Khusanov.

Our management seems to be as soft as our players, and if we don't sort it out in the next 48 hours we will get exactly what we deserve. Top 4, at best.

What you are talking of is an ABSOLUTE worst-case scenario. And, even then, we have Reis available on instant recall. We also have some quality coming through in the academy.
Any additions to cover injury simply stall progress and accentuate the issues with people on contracts being stuck without gametime.

If we are too soft to tell a player to pack his bags, would we also not be too soft to fire someone for it?

We can't let it happen, though, it would create a bad precedent. Players would know they can walk all over us.

Gvadiol been back in full training for a week and is a possibility for Brighton so where knee ligament damage comes from is beyond me.Definitely NO replacements!
