City attacking face value sites - cultural war on supporters ?

What this about “blaming the fans constantly” lol. A couple of days ago I saved you from a potential pile on on another thread. No good deed goes unpunished lol.

The last Real Madrid virtually anyone could get a ticket. Yes the time before it was chaos and very unfair on diehard Bkues with Matchday memberships.

Btw it was only a quarter an hour ago that I gave an example of City staff favouring a Real Madrid fan in the Etihad. If you are going to make stuff up, at least get it in the right ball park!

You said if ‘our fans are so bothered’. Yes, they are bothered. Bothered about the club using their ticket touting partners to shift CL tickets instead of selling them directly to City fans instead via the OS.

Real Madrid. So you agree it was a shit show and a shambles created by the directors. That will do for me.

Even last season there were 100’s of Real Madrid fans all over the ground. Once again, how did they all get tickets in the home ends if the club made an effort to sell tickets to genuine City fans directly via the OS? Feel free to explain that.

There will be a shit show against Gala because Gala fans will buy tickets from various ticket touting websites. City aren’t bothered who they sell tickets to, which has been proven time and again for CL games. Celtic, the German clubs, and other European clubs. Enjoy the Gala shit show. Hopefully the Gala fans sat next to you, and on the City concourses, will behave themselves?

You saved me from a pile on! Lol! Thanks for your help if you did? I certainly don’t remember that? PM me the details. I can fight my own battles on this forum, thank you. I know, I’m a moaning c*nt! ;-)

Was it Feyenord we played in the 3-3 self destruction last season. Four of them wouldn’t get out of my way at the bottom of the tunnel to my block so I barged through them and sent their beers flying. Unfortunately, my mate who was a minute behind me said he had just been roughed up by four angry Dutch. Sod’s Law mate.

Yes City will have to tighten security for the Gala game But if our fans pack out the stands they can’t make as much of an impact as they did at the swamp.

I think the potential pile on was Bluemooners bored with you starting 5 threads in three days based on your pic of the Bangladeshi Supporters Club!

Right I’m off. Even though I love you, Tim, and the OSC, I’ve got better things to do with my Saturday. Enjoy the match later on. :-)

Have a great day mate. I’m on a free coach to Hull to watch the rugby league (later). Hopefully, Danny Wilson is reading and can put free transport on for Blues.

You dont appear to be posting any opinions about any of the pertinent matters and ignored my question, if you dont want to be labelled an alright Jack stop acting like one.

I'll ask again.

Do you think it's reasonable that a blue who sold their ticket for spurs for face value to a fellow blue got a 10 match ban (reduced to 5) for doing so?

Do you think it's reasonable that people who work shifts are now at risk of losing their season tickets because matches are moved to times they have to work?

Do you think it's reasonable that people have to queue for over an hour to get a ticket that works after theirs didn't due to a system that hadn't been properly tested?

Do you think it's reasonable that at least one person with disabilities wasn't capable of doing the above so missed the match and now has a strike against their name which if they get a couple more will result in them losing their season ticket?
None of that is reasonable, but the club could argue season tickets have always been non-transferable (unless by the official route) so they are merely upholding their own terms and conditions. Their actions are ridiculous but they are sticking to the rules.

Our fans pack out the stands for a mini-league game? The joke thread is elsewhere.
School night, transport, too dark, might rain, all the usual excuses. But they'll all turn up for another semi against Real Madrid.
Unless the club mess up ticket sales again.

Hopefully, the ticket prices are reasonable mate. It was steep last year with the extra League game and the playoff match. It would be nice to see some recognition for the Cup Scheme members who go to all the games. Loyalty points aren’t a sufficient answer as I seem to have gone backwards in the queue for away tickets in the last 5 years.

Timmy it’s Timmy he’s a little lamb with a lot to learn

Buy the ticket regardless of the price otherwise only got yourself to blame if away fans get in

Ten of our heroes will attack a neutral fan - but ok for him to barge into 4 Feyenoord fans

The man is a human contradiction.

I'm not defending the club here but whether we like it or not, selling football tickets without authority from the club is a criminal offence, regardless of whether they're at, above or below face value. That's the position and I'm a bit surprised the club has let it go on as long as this.

There's also pressure from the PL to adhere to their Rule R.16 which requires member clubs to ensure, as far as practically possible, they know who is in the stadium and have their contact details. This is what's behind the restriction on transferring tickets.

The club therefore is acting within the law of the land and the rules set by the organisation which regulates the competition we play in.

Having said that, I think the rules are ridiculous and football fans are yet again being discriminated against in a way that fans of other sports aren't. I don't have to provide my contact details if I go to a concert, the cinema or a pub.

I think we'd all agree that we don't want tickets ending up in the hands of touts, including the legal ones like viagogo. But there's surely a happy medium where it's not like something out of 1984.

There's two issues here that we as fans need to attack. The biggest is Rule R.16 and I contacted the FSA over this. It's excessive and draconian and needs to be challenged by a broad coalition of fan groups. We also need to challenge the club's over-zealous approach to enforcing R.16, which is somewhat hypocritical when they rarely bother enforcing the rule that requires them to turn up on time for the second half.

My suggestion is that 1894 Group works with the OSC and City Matters, and the FSA, to challenge Rule R.16 withfan groups from other PL clubs, collate data on how those other clubs are dealing with this issue and challenge any inconsistency in City's approach.
How does this rule work if / when a club puts tickets on general sale? It doesn’t happen often with us, but I’m sure there’ve been a few games I could have bought extra tickets without supporters numbers for the other tickets. League/ FA Cup ties, cup semi finals, charity shields.

Sounds spurious bollocks to me. (Not what you’ve said, but this so-called “law”).

You should join an OSC…

Nneed to fu

Need to fuck all these rules off.

Just make the S/T holder responsible for its use.

Had a S/T for near 40 years, used it pretty much every time apart from maybe giving it our kid once or twice if I couldn't make it.

No one in the right mind would lend or sell a S/T to a Dickhead who may get you banned.
Spot on! 99.9999% of us season tickets would never knowingly give our ticket to a rag/dipper etc. But when the club gets hold of that ticket(and the 9 agencies)..BOOM! The utter hypocrisy on this subject is totally lost on the powers that be.

I don’t think life is perfect.

I do think we have amazing owners.

I do think people are spoilt.

Thanks for throwing disability into this to win your argument. Disgusting of you imo.

Another reason as to why I prefer the Etihad to Maine Road btw. I would never have taken my eldest to Maine Road. Disability reasons that don’t belong here. (Great Ormond street is amazing fyi).

I’m not interested in your petty point scoring. And think it’s best not to play your game.

Like I said with the rude I’m alright jack comment, you know nothing about me. And I’m ok with that.
If it’s true why is it disgusting to mention disability?

Why are the owners so amazing apart from spending a lot of money? They’ve gone against most things they said they’d do regarding the fans and local community being the heartbeat of the club who they wouldn’t forget. I don’t think people are spoilt. Just largely bored of what a home match has become and sick of being treated like criminals for swearing or wanting to give a family member their ticket etc.

They have changed it beyond recognition, it's like going to Japan buying a Sumo club and asking them all to lose weight.

Football is part of the English/British culture and our owners and others don't seem to give a fuck about that.

Because it was used to score a cheap point.
Anyway that’s me done with thread. I usually try and stay away from all moaning, life’s too short. And I have enough to deal with.
So I’ll leave you guys to discuss it.

None of this is going to end well. Actively engaging your core support is a ridiculously bad move by the club. Long term, loyal fans (or legacy fans in corporate speak) will just drift away and those people will be hard to win back. I’m not one of those - and I’ve heard a lot more than I’m comfortable with - saying this is my last season ticket, but I’m absolutely in the ‘ see how it goes’ phase. Never thought I’d ever be in that phase either to be honest.

Each season I drop down a criteria even tho I’ve collected all points from the season before as soon as I fall out completely I’ll pack it in

They had 161 on the home kit last season and the 3rd kit has rain on it this year what more do you want them to do for the local community. Were spoilt as a fan base these days
