Think even they might have overstretched today. No Chelsea appeals for a foul is one thing but when only 2 people think it’s a foul, and that’s the VAR and the referee (who didn’t think it was a foul in real time) then surely the time for real scrutiny is at hand?
Who does that scrutiny though?
 
There’s a major problem if fans, players, managers, analysts, basically everyone else in the game can look at an incident and come to the completely opposite conclusion of the match officials

And a video decision, on top of that. Not split-second, field of play decision. They sat and watched that over and over and came to a conclusion that 99% of the football community finds not just incorrect but utterly indefensible
