VAR Discussion Thread | 2024/25

It’s turned the game I once loved and lived for into a complete farce.

In all probability I’ve watched my last league game live because I’ve little to no desire to pay good money to watch a game only to be left frustrated and feeling robbed by what has become a complete circus.

Officials have always been biased imo, this just gives them even more excuse to do what they like.

110% true mate every word you’ve wrote, if I ever watch another game it will be to soon, VAR has for me has took the soul out of the game, who ever asked for a clinical game of football,

VAR works in every other sport. This is all about corrupt officials who answer to no one.

So if the Fulham goal was ruled out for a careless foul why wasn’t this given as a penalty. Can’t have it both ways, either one was a penalty and the other was a goal or no goal and a penalty. Said it before but the club needs to go public with calling out the PGMOL and they should ask Webb about why decisions are given and then release the info to the wider public. It’s becoming more like WWE by the day and it shows that despite it all how good we were to win 4 in a row.
 
The thing for me is if there’s still so many glaring errors happening on a weekly basis with VAR, what justification is there for having it? I sure as shit preferred the odd ref or offside human error back in the day, compared to this crap where the game is stopped for 5 minutes, every detail scrutinised and even then decisions are wrong.
