Jack Grealish - Everton on loan

Doesn't look to be doing anything different to what he did for us. But unlike with us, the passes are ending up as assists and the headlines are coming with it. I don't think he was bad last season but clearly wasn't doing what Pep expected.

Happy for him, will always like Jack and it was the right decision to move him on. His time with us was done.

You have a bad game.for City and it could cost us the league and your place out of the team for a couple of weeks

That's the levels.

Add in the fact he has far more space to explore and be free in compared to playing with us.

Or realisation set in…that his off field antics would see his career path on a downward spiral, and in a World Cup year he would need to work hard during the summer to get himself back to full fitness, go out on loan and get back to doing what every Blue knows that he’s capable of!

Why does Doku Rico Nunes not seem to have been affected by that as they have bad games and cost us goals and still get picked. Also Jack in fairness rarely had bad games when selected

I agree to a certain degree but our levels have fallen so low in general and I think momentum in the end got the better of jack, or lack of it.

We played the CL final in 2023 with Foden, Mahrez, Alvarez and Walker on the bench.

If we still had Mahrez, Alvarez and Foden back to his best still in this squad, Doku in particular would have been the first out the door this window.

Rico and Nunes would rarely even make the bench if we still had the levels of the treble squad.

We are turning down offers of €70m reportedly for a player that scored 1 goal for us last season because we cannot bring anybody in.

Oopphhhh.....I'd disagree with that assertion that you have a bad game for us and you're cut.

Doesn’t really work like that though does it? Plenty have bad games now and still starting the following week. I don’t think we ever gave him the freedom to really express himself, almost coached him to death, seemingly insisting he kept possession over everything else. Safety first.

So late year why was gundo, Doku, savinho, kdb, haaland dropped at any point of the season when they played crap which the did all year plus others? The space I agree with. But a manager who has faith in him and will play him is another factor. He hasn’t started two games for us for years. Even when playing well when called upon. Pep’s ego won this fight
