He needs to stop being so selfish and just move on
Why!!!He needs to stop being so selfish and just move on
It was a jokeWhy!!!
He as a contract and is paid so it’s up to him if he moves or not
He wants the best club for himself as do majority of players
After a few years at City (and the financial package), they probably would feel quite a downgrade.Pep's selections recently made it clear that he's last in the pecking order if he stays. Whether Pep will actually stick to that when push comes to shove, who knows.
Have to say, if he does refuse to take any of the numerous opportunities he's being given to leave, it will be a bit disappointing. Milan, Spurs, Leverkusen, Galatasaray, even Palace - not exactly shit destinations, are they?
We need to make it crystal clear to him for the sake of our future (and situations alike). Players need to know that they are employed by the Club and not the other way round, and will do as they are told.He may want champions league football but if he stays, he may well not be in the champions league squad anyway seeing as 2 of the current squad can't be in it.
0 ambition, like I said. The signs were there, saying he doesn't want to play the club world cup a couple of months ago. Galatasaray are in the CL and he is not interested. Last hope is in Spurs. He can join Spurs and play CL football. London should appeal to him as well. He has been told he is not in our plans and he simply doesn't care. I hope I am wrong...
Well fucking said BNS.And this is exactly what I was getting at when folk start piling in on Hugo Viana. Honestly, I don’t get it. The bloke’s shown nothing but ruthlessness since coming in. People are acting like he’s soft or dithering, when the evidence says the exact opposite.
Look at the way Walker and KDB were dealt with - absolute club legends, but the decision was made and it was made quick. No messing about, no sentiment. That’s ruthless. Same with the backroom shake up. The entire staff structure got turned on its head, with long-serving figures moved out and Hugo's own people brought in. Again, ruthless. That’s how you stay ahead of the curve.
But let’s not kid ourselves, there’s only so much you can do. You can’t just boot players out if nobody’s willing to take them. Akanji sat on £180k a week… who’s paying that? No club in their right mind. That’s not on Viana, that’s just the modern market.
And yet, despite that, we still managed to shift Grealish, with Everton stumping up 75% of his wages. That’s clever business whichever way you slice it. People cry about deadwood, but shifting those sorts of deals is about as ruthless as it gets in this game.
So for me, Hugo Viana deserves a lot more credit than he’s getting. He’s doing exactly what we brought him in to do, make hard calls, refresh the squad, and keep us evolving. He’s not the problem, and if anything, he’s a big part of why the club will continue to operate at the level it does in the next 5-10 years.
My thoughts as well, just biding his time until Stones goes downMaybe he’s just thinking he can step in when we inevitably lose 4 or 5 of our defenders over the coming months.
Quite impressed with him so far.We need to give Hugo Viana atleast 2-3 windows before we can start writing him off as a failure with no ambition. He's only been at the club 2 minutes.
We are working ;)
Serie A is boring at this point. I think he would rather prefer PL, Bundesliga or La Liga.I get wanting CL football, but you'd think as a footballer the chance to play for AC Milan at the San Siro would be a bit more appealing than just rocking up at any club that's crawled through CL qualifiers.
