Will we win the league this season?

No chance at all! Fight for Europe is the best this squad can achieve. Best thing going forward would for Pep to announce he’s leaving in January and we bring in a new manager over summer and start a PROPER re build with genuine world class players not project players.
 
Our press is ineffective.
We don't win second balls anymore.
We don't have midfield maestros at 8 anymore.
Our backline can't handle pace.
Widea forwards can't beat a player or score

But otherwise we're ready for the challenge

its the fear factor we lost is sick. teams not happy anymore to come to Etihad and get a lucky draw. they want to win.
Brighton not happy to come back with a penalty and keep it 1-1. they throw energy into winning it and commit players forward instead of sitting back and they do get the reward.

all comes from being soft, mentally, not enough hunger and running. no control of tempo,passing etc.
just poor all around. doesnt even matter if inverted fullbacks or not. we can lose same way with both.

Bournemouth came back vs Liverpool and Liverpool went ahead and scored two in last minutes. also Newcastle came back vs them and they still went ahead to attack and got rewarded.
I didnt see anything like that vs Spurs or Brighton. we were trying to avoid a third Spurs or Brighton goal more than score us ourselves. its just poor.

all the poor squad planning after treble win now coming back to bite us in the arse. sell Palmer, sell Alvarez, accepting missing out on Bellingham, Rice, Wirtz etc. bring in Nunes, Kova, Doku, Gundo return etc.
its like we on purpose making our squad weaker while rivals stepped on the gas pedal and sign players into their starting eleven, and better ones than the ones they are replacing.

After the last 8 years & our successes, we SHOULD be in a position to buy what we need, when we need it & we should have the attitude that there IS EVERY CHANCE WE’LL MATCH THOSE LEVELS AGAIN.

Are you suggesting we just pack up now & accept second best just because we’ve had a successful spell!?
 
Very early days but not looking good just now. Could still all click and still happen but needs a lot to go our way. Main thing is our mentality needs to improve and we need to show fight if we concede instead of heads dropping.

Will be putting 50p on us winning the league at these new astronomical odds

No. Arse, dippers and Chelsea. Question is are we better than Newcastle? I don’t think so. They have a very good pair of full backs, quality central midfielders and a few wingers to choose from. Can see us playing Thursday night cup next season. Erling won’t be happy either that!
 
Honestly if we get within 15/20 points of the leaders I’d be impressed. Liverpool/Arsenal are miles ahead of us. Take Rodri and Haaland out this team and it’s bang average
