Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

No chance he walks, the arrogance and ego of him won't allow him to walk.

Just like the arrogance of him makes him think HE doesnt have to change despite this pathetic nonsense we are watching at the moment.
On the contrary I think he will walk - I don’t think that he will be motivated by money or his contract situation

We would still blow teams away if they players took their fucking chances.

Marmoush should have had us 2-0 up against Spurs and Haaland today should have had us 2/3-0. We miss chances, the opposition score and the teams loses their heads, its been the way for years. The worry now is that we rarely look like scoring late on.

It used to be inevitable that we would come back into a game regardless of the score. The performances for the second half of Spurs and last 20 minutes today were pathetic.
Sure Haaland was wasteful today but you can't just play one half, we didn't play at all in the second half and it was the same thing against Spuds, you're not winning shit if you do that.

At some point his sarcastic responses in press conferences will be seen as not sarcastic at all. "I love 1000 sideways passes".

For one lauded as the best coach of his generation, tactically he’s stood still whilst others have developed and improved. Slow, possession football with little appetite to attack, and inverted full backs may have worked 2 or 3 years ago but football develops and flaws in the system were evident last year and he had few answer to address it, and yet he’s persisting with the same tactics this season so I expect more performances and results as today

Worryingly, it’s reminiscent of Wenger. He was generational, then stood still with his own passing tactics to then be blown away by more advanced teams. I fear that’s the route we’re going.

I was hoping Ljinders would’ve had a bigger say but apparently not. If he has, and this is still the result, then fuck me.

So much for all the PR stories about being a new man, energised, refreshed, etc. Feels like absolutely nothing has changed since last season.

Arsenal fans kept telling us the same mid 2010s when it was evident that Wenger's time at Arsenal was at an end, but they couldn't see it.

Only way he goes is he walks. He will never ever be sacked.

And he only walks if the club have a suitable replacement lined up.

My concern is we have United, Napoli and Arsenal next and I don't see us winning any of those games going off what we have served up recently.

Pressure might get to him too much and reluctantly he will walk after the Arsenal game.
Rags are actually ahead of us now, can't fucking believe it.

I think he’s got to go,it’s ok saying how can you say that about Pep,it’s a ruthless profession football thanks for memories Pep we’ve gone backwards not good enough I’m sorry

I don't know what the answer is with Pep, greatest manager the premiership has ever seen, but he's now getting found out big time, he's too stubborn / arrogant to change his ways, we can't keep playing this slow and turgid shite week in week out and expect different results.

What do people expect Pep to do?

Spurs: First goal, Stones terrible attempt at playing offside then falls over. Second goal Trafford gives it to them 5 yards out. Two goals from two mistakes

Today: First goal, handball for no reason. Second goal, Stones goes 20 yards out of possession and clears it straight to a Brighton player who then passes it into the giant hole he left and they score. Two goals from two mistakes.
So in that case when we won the treble it was all on the players as well and not Pep correct?

He wont change how we play he said it himself. Greatest manager of all time, but all things come to an end. He has been found out and is to stubborn to realise it.

Pep Guardiola on sticking to his football philosophy: "We won a lot, you know? A lot. Why would you change?"I change when it's the players. When I have, for example, Bernardo [Silva] as a winger, or Leroy Sane as a winger, it's different. Bernardo has to get the ball to feet, and Leroy you give the ball in behind."I adapt to the quality, but the principles? Maybe I decide, instead of passing 500 times the ball, 1,000 [times] this season. This is my target!"

So many keep talking zbouf the quality of our players... But we are not losing to Liverpool and Arsenal. We are losing to Brighton and a Spurs team with no creative outlet.

Put any of our players on those teams and they improve their top 4 chances...

It is not qualify we are lacking
