Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

It’s time to start asking questions. Pep defenders will be on here pointing out everything he’s done for the club (as they should), others like myself will be pointing out that time waits for no man.

It’s quite obvious now that we don’t have the players anymore to fit the ‘system’ we want to play. I wish it could be as simple as tweak the system to suit the players, but it never is with the big man.

Something has to give.

Do the decent thing Pep. Leave while you've still got some credibility.

If we lose to the rags, his reputation is straight down the toilet.
No chance he walks, the arrogance and ego of him won't allow him to walk.

Just like the arrogance of him makes him think HE doesnt have to change despite this pathetic nonsense we are watching at the moment.

The attacking tactics are shit. We used to blow teams away. Now we get 1-0 up (if we’re lucky) and then try and control the game for the rest. Regardless of if we score in the 1st, 30th or 85th minute.

It’s shit. And shows how shit scared Pep has become.

Needs to grow some bollocks IMO. He’s in tactical fear every game and it’s affecting us badly.

We would still blow teams away if they players took their fucking chances.

Marmoush should have had us 2-0 up against Spurs and Haaland today should have had us 2/3-0. We miss chances, the opposition score and the teams loses their heads, its been the way for years. The worry now is that we rarely look like scoring late on.

It used to be inevitable that we would come back into a game regardless of the score. The performances for the second half of Spurs and last 20 minutes today were pathetic.

Tomorrow by 7pm is the biggest day of the season to date.
We see what happens he keeps saying, it’s the match what needs sorting first - and if he cannot sort it it’s time for change I think, he would have gone in summer if it wasn’t for that CWC, legacy will be tarnished otherwise way things are going

We seem to have turned into the club that is all fur coat and no knickers.

Big announcements about hotels, extensions competitions and new ladies teams. I hope the people at the top aren't using the rags as an example and believe you don't have to win things to make money.

Thankfully I didn't renew my Citizens membership and I can't get a ticket even if someone offered me a free one, it's a shocker from the club in every direction you can think of.

Interm manager for the rest of the season and a new man to follow. Wouldn’t really be following pep then.

He need to start kicking arses again, gotta turn back time to bayern era and play to the platers strengths not be rigid in his style.

He isi still the best manager, and not really anyone better available for all the doubters

Pep is and will always be our greatest ever manager. It’s sad the way it is now going, I would not be surprised if he calls it a day at some stage this season

I don’t see any effect the new coaching team is having. We are so slow and lack physicality

None of the wingers cross the ball or get to the byline to make crosses

Khusanov , Trafford and Rodri had good games for me and the rest average at best

It is alarming that 2 players having extended contracts are Dias and Lewis.

Thanks for everything Pep but all good things come to an end

We rarely look like scoring mate. Never mind late on. IMO anyway.

Much more of that shite and he's got to go, the whole team was flat again today and it's becoming terminal, too many good players in our squad to be getting turned over by shit teams on a consistent basis and that lands squarely at the managers feet.
Yes I get and appreciate he was great for us, but he hasn't been great for along time in football now,

For one lauded as the best coach of his generation, tactically he’s stood still whilst others have developed and improved. Slow, possession football with little appetite to attack, and inverted full backs may have worked 2 or 3 years ago but football develops and flaws in the system were evident last year and he had few answer to address it, and yet he’s persisting with the same tactics this season so I expect more performances and results as today

What do people expect Pep to do?

Spurs: First goal, Stones terrible attempt at playing offside then falls over. Second goal Trafford gives it to them 5 yards out. Two goals from two mistakes

Today: First goal, handball for no reason. Second goal, Stones goes 20 yards out of possession and clears it straight to a Brighton player who then passes it into the giant hole he left and they score. Two goals from two mistakes.
I expect him to at least earn his money and also make changes in the game to counter what the other managers do . As it ve sayd befire when pep wins he’s a genius but when he’s poor he needs calling out .

Only way he goes is he walks. He will never ever be sacked.

And he only walks if the club have a suitable replacement lined up.

My concern is we have United, Napoli and Arsenal next and I don't see us winning any of those games going off what we have served up recently.

Pressure might get to him too much and reluctantly he will walk after the Arsenal game.

Who are some realistic candidates to take over?
Feels like all exiting mangers are unrealistic to get.
Rip the band-aid now, or it's just gonna get worse imo.
We are Man City the richest club in the world and we should be able to get anyone but our bolloxs have dropped .

If Pep went the manager market is shit. We'd probably go with a interim manager
