That quote gives me Pellers "We don't look at the opposition" vibe.
Its a great press conference if you play well, create chances and win, now he just looks silly.

Jamie Vardy played for Stocksbridge park steels and won a Premier League title as well as lifting POTY so jog on pal.Where we came from is not a phrase you use to excuse mediocrity.
Our left back played for wolves. Our “right back” played for wolves.
We have two wolves players playing for the most technical coach in the games history and one is out of position and has the hunger of an anorexic. He has the bite of a flower.
I know where we just came from. 4 consecutive prem titles. Mendy, Danilo, Walker and Cancelo. All actual accomplished full backs. We won in spite of issues at the position and now have the hubris to think we don’t need any. The gig is up.
We need actual accomplished full backs.
A season with 1 left back with potential and no other full backs is absolute madness.
Let's face it. We have had a decade beyond our wildest dreams, but the party's over. Just a top four side now, if we're lucky.
Agree, said this before, just switched off after the treble.I don’t know man, I feel the board have changed mentality completely. The signings the last few years do not show ambition.
Spot on.If I hadn't seen such riches, I could handle being poor.
Reckon it's time the club and Pep had serious conversations. We're going nowhere and from what we've already seen top 4 looks well beyond what we're able to achieve
The rest of the league has caught up. Managers have figured us out a year ago. Our build up play is like watching paint dry and it's no longer enjoyable to even watch us play, win, lose or draw
The life has been sucked out of the game at this club. Slow, sterile and boring. We have some amazingly fast explosive players but they are made to play in a system that completely strips away their talent. Which is fair enough when the system is working but it certainly ain't anymore.
We aim to be going far in Europe every season and emulating the likes of Madrid but playing the way we do week in, week out and now season after season means we're more Atletico than Real.
I love Pep, he's given me some of the greatest times of my life, but nobody is beyond criticism or has an unlimited shelf life. We need a different direction.
If performances carry on in this manner, he won't make it until February. He always said he'd walk if he felt the fans weren't behind him, and I've never seen so many fans not behind him as I do now. He may turn it around, but sadly I don't think he has the fire in him anymoreYeah in 2 years....
It’s about intensity. Move the ball quickly - and retain it - and yes, the opposition tire and then spaces and chances open up. We used to do that relentlessly. Now, we are FAR too slow and laborious and create nothing. And I might add, boring as fuck to watch. We really are tediously dull.Pep's style no longer works in the Prem. The Prem is about defending (especially against us) then an attacking with intensity - often on the break. This works better against certain teams also and unfortunately we are one of those teams.Possession football just allows other teams to sit back and defend. Then they attack and we aren't set up to defend. We can have all the control in the world but it means nothing when it means we're toothless on attack and weak at the back. Then when we need a goal possession football just doesn't cut it.
He doesn’t look as dynamic as I might have hoped. And as we need.Me too based on the last two games. He was hardly in it today
I couldn't agree more! All of what you've said is correct.True. Some of our attempted passes were laughable. Kicking it straight at an opponent, or playing one of our own into immediate trouble. We used to always have 2 or 3 players in space for the man in the ball to pass to. It’s like whatever Pep taught us has all been forgotten. We can’t retain possession for 2 minutes any more. Let alone in the opponents half.
Completely disagree, we used to beat everyone with a team full of technicians. These days we just have runners who don't know what to do with the ball!Just watching the Liverpool v Arsenal game, all about power and speed. Everything we don’t have right now.
It was tongue in cheek. Of course I know he's never managed.
However Pep is surely on borrowed time.
Well, losing can be a habit picked up very easily unless it's nipped in the budWe let the game drift. Loser's mentality.
The odds aint looking good.Anyone watch Aït Nouri regularly last season? Please tell me it gets better than that?!
