I remember when David Silva's first season. Always getting barged off the ball going to ground. I thought he was too small n' skinny to hack it. He never put any weight on or got any taller. He just got tougher and more skillful. Plenty of time for Cherki to find his feet. He exudes ball skills so I'm not worried he won't take to English football, he just needs time to settle in.

Mancini really eased him in also from memory, plenty of appearances off the bench. The goal at Blackpool was the first bit of real quality we saw from him and that was in October, he came off the bench then too.

We looked much more likely to score when he was on the pitch than when he went off it in my opinion. Those tricks and flicks people highlight, were exceptional when he came on and scored against Wolves. They won't always come off, the same way not all of De Bruyne's passes came off. But he worked hard in defence, he tried to create things and didn't have the best game. But it was one of those rare occasions when pretty much everyone on the pitch was miles off it.
