It's Quiet the £250m return

Trying isnt god enough.

When you have the worlds best run club with a substantial base of quality already there at your disposal, to come in Januaury and work next to one of the bet DOF in history and not identify/and or get that you need two right fullbacks and a powerhouse in midfield as well as at least one centre half then something is wrong.

My concerns were raised and intensified when after already buying Trafford, news broke we were after Donarumma - this guy at present doesnt get the prem league, the style of play or what is needed.
I’m not going to blame him quite yet, and I think the ‘world’s best run club’ line is something that, on current evidence, needs a good pinch of Maldon. I think we all agree on our needs, but we have simply failed to get enough people out the door. Our holistic generosity is biting us painfully.

Viana is new to the league but don’t think for one moment he is acting in isolation

Fair enough but your post wasn’t clear about that
who is ultimately responsible for identifying targets however? Is that Viana???? Im not saying his is the final decision but my understanding is that he will be big in identifying initially who we want

I wouldn't fire Viana.

But in the last 3-4 years we have seen teams quietly poach a lot of our scouting department, analytics department as well as other backroom staff in particular Omar that were incredibly important in building this team, and we have seemingly not replaced them with people who can identify talent as well as they can.
In fairness, some of the talent they identified and was not up to scratch, let alone what was allowed to leave. We have allowed some very good players to pass us by this summer, but that has probably been down to the fact that contracts and the home grown requirements have worked against us. We’re trying to solve problems that have been seasons in the making.

Not surprising we dominated for a decade. Had proper world-class midfielders like David Silva, De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan, Bernardo too. That's why loads on here didn't rate Mahrez - he was being compared to those legends and couldn't match them. But next to our current lot, Mahrez looks fucking brilliant.
Yes, midfield is the most important part of Peps football and im not sure we will ever see midfielders as good as David and Kevin in this team again.

I cannot believe Pep has chosen the signings we have made the last 2 windows

Buy Khusanov doesn’t play
But Gonzales doesn’t play
Reis sent on loan

Time yet on Cherki as don’t feel he is a Pep player
I have watched City 3 times this year I’m sure I saw Khusanov and Gonzales on the field could be mistaken tho

A day to go in the transfer window, we ain't doing shit.

Not signing a right back was criminal.

The hierarchy have taken their eye off the ball, we aren't serious in the transfer market therfore not serious going fighting for major honours.

Khaldoon said we'd be going big this summer. Absolute bollocks statement.
In the clubs defense, the RB market was not great this summer, certainly for what we wanted out of a right back. Livramento always felt like a bit of a stretch.

Signing the wrong right back even more criminal

Time for a reboot. Only issue I have is do we keep the guardiola philosophy or move away to a more counter attacking team.

Not sure how this all plays out but surely we can all agree it’s not working anymore.

He could still turn it around.
Having watched Bournemouth batter Spurs, and perform like they are despite players they’ve lost, if Pep was to go, Raoli would be someone to look at
