You should know how this works by now. He was injured last season and we were awful. Ergo, he was transformed into the next Lamine Yamal by everyone despite his contribution up until that point being a handful of ok performances. Cherki is now injured for 2 months, and if we carry on like we have, by the time he returns he'll be peak Zidane.Academy bias at it's best. He has the technical ability, but if he was called Jeremy Doku or Savinho our fans would want him sold. Shouldn't be starting for us if we want to challange for top 4.
He is 22 years old and has what, 1 goal and 1 assist in the PL ever? It's a make it or break it season for him. People were saying he is better than Rodrygo. In other news, Hojlund is better than Haaland ;).

Bright first half, the best of our weak attack without seeing a lot of the ball. Wasteful second half and should have come off but we obviously lacked options to be able to do that.

Not much different than Doku if we’re honest, he just has better technical ability. Last year was his year but time stops for nobody, he needs to step up as well as our other forwards otherwise everyone is on the chopping block

He is about as different from Doku as a player can be. Both have significant strengths, but to compare them as not much different shows a lack of understanding of the game.

Its not a Bobb or Doku or whoever else issue. These are all very talented players. They proved it already. The problem is Pep. We are seeing the Grealish evolution happening again.

It is upto the players to develop, including Doku whom I am a fan of.
Pep is not beyond criticism, of course, but we are too early in the season to make final judgements.

I'm convinced he will be a very good player for us but not his best game today. Showed flashes of quality but needs to speed up his play and make better decisions at times.
