Possibly a bit naive to give the free kick away that resulted in their goal but I really line him. If we had a midfield version of him we’d be flying

Very low down on our list of problems. Has to play against United

hate it when we turn situations into freekicks when opposite player actually running away from goal.
almost as bad like giving away a pen when player taking the ball out of the box but kick him before he can get out of the box.

Why not just do that with all of our young players? Let’s only buy ready made players and only focus on the short term - something we’ve never really done

He gets experience by playing.

We used to be able to afford to let one or two learn and make mistakes because we had far better players who’d invariably score/create. Now we’re shit any young players are not only under more pressure their mistakes are costly because we can’t score like we used to.

To be fair it’s the older players who’ve been making mistakes consistently and out of form last season and the last two games. Those older players should be stepping up and providing leadership

Right back please. Made for it.

100% let the centre backs sort themselves out but there is a obvious position for him at right back

Politically dropping one of Dias, Stones or Gvardiol for him might be difficult but dropping that Wolves midfielder we have a right back is an easy decision at take it from there

That’s our problem. Not dropping the players who should be dropped. Still living in 23

Like him when he is defending but when he is on the ball going forward I am not sure who is more nervous him or me, just looks likely to make a mistake any moment. Plenty of work to do on the training ground yet.

As opposed to Dias on the ball?

We won't sign one now. He is the best option due to his pace.
I think he’d struggle out there. He’s got the pace obviously but it’s different if he’s up against a tricky, junky winger. Also on the ball i think he’d struggle at right back in our system. The other 2 are shite though so suppose it might be worth a try

Him or Akanji if he stays

How is he made for it? On the ball is his weakest part of the game. He's competent enough as a cb playing the simple stuff, but doesn't really suit fullback. we'll get nothing out of him in possession in that position. Then as a result of being in that position. It means he isnt in a position to make full use of his pace to cover the entire backline. He's a clear centre back that needs to play centre back.
