Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

You obviously have no idea what 'entitled' means.

Even fans of the worst football teams have the right to expect their team to show some spirit.

Teams generally reflect the attitude of their coach/manager. Our team is devoid of ideas, scared, gutless and spineless.

If that's OK with you, then you're also a part of the problem at City.
Okay, sack Mac…oh I mean sack Pep, I go back to days of Bert I certainly know what entitled means.

In the end I guess it boils down to whether you think a manager increases the sum of the parts or not.

Semper agressus obviously thinks that Pep has been dealt a very poor hand recently which means that the 400 million plus spent since the treble winning season should result in Viana being shown the door now and Txiki being sued for imitating a director of football.

Others might say actually there are quite a lot of good footballers in this team and we can make top 4 if we had a different manager. A younger Mancini would certainly get a better tune out of the defence.

Personally think we're some way of that, partly because we've got a lot of new players coming into a declining side. I would say we should be able to get a top 6 finish.

But I don't think we will because Pep will not adjust the team to the new reality which is we don't have 65% possession footballers anymore. And even if we did the new athleticism and power of other teams would make it difficult.

Who would I want to take over?

That's the problem. When the best manager in the world the last 30 years leaves your club whoever takes over is a gamble.

Also like RBs great ones are a bit thin on the ground atm.

So on balance I think give Pep the rest of the season, lower our expectations and see where it takes us.

Hard to tell if Pep is a reflection of the players or t'other way round. For at least 18 months, Pep has looked lost and his players clueless.
It’s a good question, but we’ve changed lots of players and also the coaching staff. And the players still look lost, half-arsed and lacking direction.

He was standing out in the centre circle today on his own for 10 mins even before the keepers came out to warm up

It’s great to see Pep looking so relaxed post match. “Early in the season” the main reason to be so relaxed. Absolutely stealing a living these days.

It’ll take a few of these defeats to sort it out. It’s a new team when you take into consideration the pivotal players that have needed changing. I’m surprised the club seems to have changed the whole back room set up but kept the manager. It’s a show of solidarity which for me is enough.

I can only presume the training sessions lasted 63 min.

Listen I've been a pep fanboy since day one, us getting him was a masterstroke, look what he has delivered.
But you can't keep him on for sentimental purposes. Personally he should have walked after we got 4 in a row with his legacy intact.
He will end up like wenger did at bridesmaids FC and end up being hated.

The team aren't responding to him. There are no excuses for injuries or fatigue. Yes it is only 3 games in but it is shades of last season already. I think he has lost that mojo and that aura.

A change is going to come eventually, do it now and reset whilst it's still early doors.

Yes I sound entitled and yes I sound spoilt but far from it. You can feel the negativity and it is flat.

Picked the team that everyone wanted again. Let down by Bobb not finishing the game, a Nunes handball and the team running out of gas at 1-1
All true, but then what did he do? He could have changed shape because he would know more than anyone that we run out of gas. He didn’t. We could drop deeper and play counter attacking football.

I’m not Pep out but he’s not doing his job properly.

The situation is like when you need to take an old, loyal pet on its final visit to the vets. It’s hard and you remember the great times but you see the old thing struggling on and you know it’s the kindest gesture. All things must pass.

The team everyone wanted? I don’t think you’ll find many on here that have a starting team that includes Nunes in it, he’s a fucking liability mate and it’s not the first time is it
Well, that wasn't my point. Nunes wouldn't be my choice.
