Not a bad suggestion - not happening though.We might need to go back to treble basics.
A strong back 4 that is defensively sound with Stones/Nico G/Rodri going from CB into CDM position.
Gvardiol/Ake
Dias/Akanji
Stones/Nico G/Rodri
Khus/Nunes
Lewis as a backup CM, RAN as a LW as he is struggling to be up and down and defend that he barely attacks.
Said elsewhere, the FBs are getting hung out to dry as the wingers don't work hard enough.
I like the idea of fuckin off the "wingers" currently and go 3-5-1-1 and see where it takes us

It’s not Pep, he’s basically trying to polish turds. It is his fault he thought we didn’t need a rebuild last year, but it’s not on him that the likes of Nunes, Lewis, Doku, Dias, Khusanov, Marmoush and Savinho are fucking miles off the level of our title winning sides. Add the fact Bernardo is now utterly ineffective and we have no right back or any wingers that can score and it’s no surprise we’re where we are now.
All of that is down to unambitious, complacent and downright shite recruitment.
Absolutely zero bollocks in the transfer market, letting rivals sign the top stars while we fuck about with Nunes, Lewis, Doku and a couple of young lads at centre half where in this league you need experience, nous and aggression.

Even fans of the worst football teams have the right to expect their team to show some spirit.
Teams generally reflect the attitude of their coach/manager. Our team is devoid of ideas, scared, gutless and spineless.
If that's OK with you, then you're also a part of the problem at City.

Why? Are we housing our youth teams there?That hotel will be full of immigrants way things are going
the drop off is mind blowing from 21/22 and 22/23 seasons. actually first half of 22/23 was quite mediocre but then our form went and got us a treble from about January onwards and we gave no chance to the likes of Bayern, Real etc.
fast forward 2 years later, our fear factor gone completely, teams like Brighton and Spurs rather play us each week than Fulham, Brentford, Bournemouth etc.
our work rate off the ball sucks, we make basic errors, way too many. we went from delivering wingers to wingers on the young side with on end product. we hype them up to something they are not. Bobb is the latest, the guy does everything to avoid taking a shot, going down a blind alley and lose the ball rather than shoot. talented kid but we had prime Sterling and Mahrez or a workhorse Jesus with regular end product from them.
its like we have our own version of Yamal without the goals and assists. (and 4 years older)
but its the way Pep's tactics aint working anymore either.
our wingers will take until Christmas to accumulate 4 assists that Grealish did in 2 games at fucking Everton. and Grealish himself did not even have 4 assists at City in last two seasons in PL. he had something like 1 assist all season in 24/25 for PL. will be honest if Doku, Bobb, Svinho would go to Bournemouth or Brighton I could see them become £100m+ players if they really have the talent. but wont look like that here, why?
we used to be angry at games where we have 20 shots, 10 on target, opponent has 2 shots all game and game ends 1-1. that used to be a bad result, a one off.
now we have Spurs, Brighton etc outdo us on xG, shots, these are not on offs. this is the norm now. we are less clinical than the opponent, also easier to create chances against. we used to take the ball and keep it with intention. now we lose a lot, the smallest press gets through, positionally everything seems wrong. we dont sense danger at all with counters.
Pep must see these things too yet same issues exist since for number or months now. what changing is that its becoming normal for much lesser squads to punish us. Al Hilal, Spurs, Brighton, Sporting, Feyenoord, Juventus, Palace, rags, Bournemouth, Forest etc. this is not the elite. the elite will be when we face likes of Napoli, Real, Arsenal, Liverpool maybe Chelsea. god help us if we play PSG, Barca too this season. but we dont only suffer vs the elite but much lesser sides too.
it cannot be possible we only deliver vs bottom 5 PL clubs. like promoted sides ad Wolves etc.

So many keep talking zbouf the quality of our players... But we are not losing to Liverpool and Arsenal. We are losing to Brighton and a Spurs team with no creative outlet.
Put any of our players on those teams and they improve their top 4 chances...

He’s probably a great manager still but this team are about 40% of the quality of our treble team. The frustrating thing is is we are still trying to play like the treble team and that’s where he’s failing.
