Will we win the league this season?

I'm not as ready to concede our era of dominance as others, but I do think we might need another transfer window and a season to let this new team and new ideas settle in properly. I really don't see why we shouldn't still compete for the biggest trophies. We still have world class everything and can compete with every other big club in Europe in the transfer window.

The last 5 windows have been appalling and now we are just another team fighting for the top 4.
It's a betrayal of the Sheikh's investment.

Will we end top 6 this season is probably a more fitting title
Agree with this. If we end this season in a European spot (whatever the competition), find some sort of entertaining structure to our play, find some resilience and end up in a position and a style to build on we will have done well. We don't want to just drift without any semblance of order, it has to be a stepping stone season. Hopefully it will be.

I’d be happy for us to play entertaining football and actually have a go at scoring the odd goal.
The predictability in our tactics and substitutions beggars belief.
We’ve become the easiest of teams to set up against, unless you’re Wolves ,who let’s face it are already gone.

Mid table beckons

It’s going to be the first season in years where finishing above “the worlds biggest club” is our only goal.

City have dropped the ball significantly.

liverpool showing how to strengthen when on top.

Pep, Txiki and Co's decision to not strengthen the squad last year will haunt us for years to come.

Players brought in are mainly mediocre. Any outfield player brought today will be a panic buy.

Donnarumma will cause more problems than he solves as his kicking is worse than Traffords. Those in denial about this will soon get a wake up call.

The excitement of the new season starting, new look City with the Pep Ljinders impact, has vanished in 3 weeks to be honest.
Just looks like a repeat of last season with even more players in our team now who aren't good enough.

We're so fragile. The writing was on the wall in the CWC with the manner of the Al Hilal defeat.

A season ahead of watching Liverpool canter to the title.

Liverpool in their pomp won three in a row, and five out of six seasons, from 1979 to 1984. United in their pomp won three in a row and four out of five, from 1999 to 2003 (they did three in a row again in the noughties). Before the war, Huddersfield Town did three in a row, as did Arsenal.
No-one will do four in a row. We won't see it again.
Dippers look odds on for back to back and could go further and as things stand it doesn't look like we can stop them. I'd hate to see those cunts get four in a row.

Liverpool are not playing that well but are still winning games. I think they will stroll it this year. Arsenal are just too negative and more interested in faking injuries than attacking. I would take the top four now for City if offered.

Well not the start I was hoping for but hopefully we can turn it around starting with the Derby. Still have us winning the league this season!

players current dont feel good with the tactics they are asked to play. they simply dont know what to do. and sadly that is coming from the manager who is seeing his team ripped apart by same method vs dozen of opponents and still we dont know what do do when teams counter us with speed.

we have spent long time to slow our play down so much that now if we are forced to play higher intensity we go full panic mode. its basically enough for Brighton to up the tempo a bit in second half and we look shocking.

and this is gonna happen few more times vs CL opponents. by end of November we have played rags, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Liverpool, Newcastle, Villa and the likes of Napoli, Dortmund, Vilarreal, Leverkusen, Monaco in CL.

honestly how many of these 10 games we win?how many we win comfortably?
even the likes of Brentford away, Everton home can be a struggle unless serious tactical revamp.

oh and we already have 5 injuries when games are 1 week per game rate, after the break its all 3 days per game.
