It's Quiet the £250m return

You can get closer than we have though. Just pay for the best available, not try to make a project of some youngsters or gamble whether someone average might improve.
What if the best available, for whatever reason, won’t come? Be it the selling club being a **** or the player demanding too much money? The truth is nobody knows what the people at the top do to sign players. I would hazard a guess that not signing the best available, whoever that may be, won’t be for lack of trying.

Immediate impact at right back if you cant get Livramento. Go put 50 to 60 million down for Gusto at Chelsea, that's how badly we need a right back. I'm sorry but we can't go the season with Rico and Nunes as our right back options, both as bad as each other defensively.

We have a good spine to work from in this team just like the 2016 team (the majority of those players needed replacing in the team)

If we can bring in Donnarumma, I think we will have done as much as could be reasonably expected in this window.
Not solving several of our major issues from last season like having no serious goal threat from anyone besides Haaland, not even having a RB in the squad, not properly replacing the best playmaker in PL history, still not having anyone that can play instead of Rodri without it meaning we concede loads of chances, is not exactly what I would describe as "done as much as could reasonably expected".

I would rather argue that considering our status in world football, financial strength, coming from our worst season in a decade, what we have done so far this summer is far from what could be reasonably expected.
When last season finished I expected us to have a window putting out a statement that we are coming back to win, so far it looks more like the statement is that we have no intention to win anything this season.

I think this is largely bang-on.
I would rather Trafford be the No.1, but that's a personal thing.
I think your expectations and assessment of where we are in a timeline is correct.
Yeah right I don't want Italy No1 / top 3 keepers in world to be a no1. Prefer a kid from Burnley to be playing Real Madrid away. Wtf is a matter with people???!!!

Bowen, I'll get laughed at for that suggestion but he's standing out at West ham and doing it every season he's been there he brings goals and output. It would lessen the burden on Haaland. Would actually give us a winger that can produce.
I'm not saying Bowen would be my preferred signing but he would undoubtedly be our best winger and its not even close.

Don't be sorry for wanting a proper RB. Its criminal to NOT!

Midfield needs physicality as well, Atletico are willing to let Conor Gallagher go on loan or sale. He'd give us what Gibbs white would've. He's got loads of energy and he's physical in a tackle. He's played well for Atletico.

Just out of interest, why are they letting him go then?

This is the elephant in the room

The top caliber of player are not going to take the risk with this hanging over our heads

We’ve gone from dining at the top table to taking punts on players with potential - a bit like Spurs would do - some will be very good buys , some won’t.

Hopefully it will be resolved very soon as until it is we are being stifled

Exactly what the cartel wanted
Agreed, the Wirtz one is very strange and feels connected to the charges.
